10 years ago today 66048 derailed at Carrbridge, fortunately no-one was seriously injured.

45 years ago today, a train passed a 20mph speed board which was out, the next one was lit but it was too late for the driver to slow the train - it hit the TSR at approx 80mph, derailed and killed 6 people. Nuneaton, 06/06/1975

Driver Benjamin Gimbert and fireman James Nightall attempted to a munitions train away from Soham when it exploded, killing James Nighthall and signalman Frank Bridges. Benjamin Gimbert was seriously injured.

Found an old coach body (found as in actually noticed) in someones garden the other day while walking, today I had a (2m+) chat with the owners, it came via horse and cart from Eccles Road in 1912. He showed me the builders plate, a google showed the plate was worth £1000+ !
