Hi all well I had the 08 bodies come during the week and they are good. They have been cleaned and I have primer-ed them they will look better with some colour on them though. I also have had some Nickle Silver etched name plates and body grills produced for them. There are still needing the etched front grill and steps for the Hornby chassis both of these will make it look more like an 08

I should have a body and cab in about two weeks all being well. Wwhen I test fit it I will take some pictures, it will be fitted to a standard Hornby 08 chassis with the necessary mods done to it but without the etched grill or steps fitted and probably in primer.

Roy From the info I have collected 08992-5 were converted for restricted height use 08991 was not mentioned in any info I have seen. 08992 was only in use for a short while and the apparently failed and was scrapped for some reason leaving 08993-5 as the remaining versions.

Happy New Year all. Over the Christmas period i finished something I have been working for a while. I have designed it to fit on the Hornby class 08 frame there is a mode for the Hornby frame which will involve removing the cast wings either side of the 8 pin socket. As with the Hornby 08 I have modeled the cab so it slides over the cab end of the body to fit With the body and cab I will be supplying etched etched front grill, steps and name plates with body side grills, so that the four shunter's 08992-5 cam be modeled. The body and cab have been designed so DCC lighting and sound can be fitted. I will post pictures of the body once I get one and show it fitted.

Steve I have that kit in a box from Falcon bought 10 years ago I will check and see if I have instructions, if I have I will scan them and post on this thread for you.

I have been doing them since 2011 on request.

They are the DJH window frames if you go back a few pages you can see the model in build the frames they look very thin and in two parts so a little harder to fit I would think but I'm sure Brian will give you his opinion when he re surfaces from which ever part of the world he has been visiting.
