Upcoming O gauge sale - End of the line at Marsh Lane
Pete Harvey replied to MarshLane's topic in 7mm+ modelling
Rich the Dia for slater plungers hole is 3.9mm and 27mm to make sure they are in constant contact with the tires on the wheels at all times under all conditions. Those dimensions are before you fit the pickups. -
Nice rework on the Airfix kit Ken.

Upcoming O gauge sale - End of the line at Marsh Lane

Rich I have tried iMaterialise and been ver disapointed with there general sevice and there printing service of the items I have had printed buy them they were all as bad if not worse a finish as you have had. All of my masters for kits or parts for brass or resin casting are printed buy Shapeways and there quality is excerlent with only minimum cleaning up needed before going to casting a lot of them using the same 3D models without alteration that were sent to iMaterialise. I would say try Shapeways for a better finished master rather than iMaterialise. -

Peter It is a 1967 Ford Corsair I will certainly shed a few pounds on the car but it should be worth it when done, it should be on the road buy this time next year.
-
Peter I do get to do modelling but not for me and in 7mm mainly for customers & PH Designs. Most of my spare time is taken up with renovating this It's going to body & paint in August When that's back I can finish it off and then get some modelling done for myself and a new Exhibition Layout is in the planning stages. I will start a thread when I have something to show. I still have Lindridge Road to finish.

Peter You have done a lot of great modellig in the eight years this thread has been running well done sir.

For those who like to model 60's, 70's RTC carriages I have added a simple etched fret of parts to allow concersion of a Bachman Mk2 Carriage in to RTC Test Car 6 ADB975290 this can also be modeled in the Serco Test Train Livery. This is a very simple conversion. For decals for either the RTC or Serco liveries go to http://www.railtec-models.com/catalog.php?search_str=RTC

When running Don Jones New Street back in the very early 90's well before DCC the power cars used to have two Lima ring field motors in each engine and Don was a very good Breeder of Coy fish so there were large ponds each side of the out door running rails and the track was 24V through thyristor controllers and many a time when a train would stop on the outside tracks we would be greeted by the chard remains of a frog or toad or hear them scream as they crawled across the main running lines (Don hated them as they would eat all of the fish food). So your moggie was lucky that you are using DCC.
