  1. Static grass is simply nylon fibre chopped into lengths suitable for our purposes. The best colours and most realistic I found were from Polak. http://www.polakmodel.com/cs/vyrobky/main/0/Flockdekor-dlouhy---delka-4-5mm.html
  2. Update: 600,003 views! Is this the highest number on RMweb?
  3. Excuse the sky and the lack of smoke.
  4. I use a plastic scale figure in photos for people to judge scale. His name is Erbert.
  5. Clicking the link took me to a whole new world (of possibilities).
  6. Coming soon to a website near you! ManCam! Seriously though, this is mind-numbingly good stuff! :imsohappy: :imsohappy:
  7. Let me know next time you are in Brisbane. I have a small gift for your airport.
  8. Did you manage to get it tax exempt? Looking nice. I think I might have pre-ordered one of these last year with Hattons. Never got an email to say the panniers were available. Mind you, funds are tight so I would have passed on it anyway. Shame, that would have finished my loco stable for my unbuilt West of Worcester idea.
  9. Know what you mean by folding modelling vouchers. Very scarce this time of year in Australia as well. They must have emigrated for the winter.
  10. Shortly afterwards I trod on them while they were on the floor, and they were never quite the same again. So they are being modelled as down-at-heel, then?
  11. Too late now but I have used these walls on my layouts and they are fantastic. Rubber moulding so they are flexible, prepainted and come with double-sided adhesive on the back. Can be cut with a sharp knife etc. http://www.choochenterprises.com/HOwalls.html Just a happy customer.
  12. PS2 for a Mac is now too old for the OS to support. Suggest these links instead - https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/beta-download/(free beta software) http://www.pixelmator.com(may be a small charge for the full version) Have fun!
  13. The harbour looks very small and to some extent, an after-thought. Can you make it larger or delete the front edge (?) Maybe a hint of what it is rather than a complete shape? Other than that, keep going!
  14. Ahhhh! But the paint does good things later on, like protecting timber from moisture etc. Well worth the self-flagellation at this stage believe me!
  15. The $2 shops are great but if you have Daiso over there, they are worth a look for sieves and all sorts of useful stuff. Everything is $2.80.
  16. Yes, I saw the hit by mistake rating as well. How do I get to add that one on any thread?
  17. I think you need an Inspector Morse figure on the layout after all this banter!
  18. http://www.gadgetgear.nl/2014/06/jezelf-3d-printen-bij-de-hema/ Not too sure that this technique is available in 1:72 yet though. But the future application of this technology is mind-bending.
  19. This looks current - http://www.doctorwho.tv/whats-new/article/conquer-earth-with-the-daleks-in-doctor-who-risk
  20. I think all layouts should appear in the layouts section including NG and those based on real locations but that's just so I can find gems like this without spending way too long trawling all the sections for eye candy!
  21. Andy - for very evenly structured (clipped) hedges, Model Tree Shop have a range. For a more rampant country look, try rubberised horse hair. Another idea which would need some work to make totally convincing is the floor scrubber pads from Bunnings available in two tones of green, one brown and one black (the open weave stuff about 300x150x20mm) hacked about and covered in flocks.
