Re6/6 is eternally grateful to CK for this splendid work. After seeing the cottages on Callow Lane, an offer to build the cottages on Marsh Sidings couldn't be declined!
All that was supplied to CK were some rather doubtful cardboard mock-ups.
Work on M.S. has now wound up a notch in view of the first 'semi-public' showing looming all too soon. Current work is adapting the cassettes from the old Matford, plus some new loco ones being made. All other 'diversions' like Mynydd Du and other stuff have been put aside until after the 'mini-S4um'!

Indeed superb running Robin. I'm intrigued with the combination of MJT frames and BB bogies.
All the best,
John

Rod and I are very grateful to CK for his splendid efforts in bog making. It's a splendid rendition which has captured the look of the small building albeit rather ornate with the lovely cupola. It is believed that it's now used as an S & T store.
The stops from Mike Franks are a delight and Tim's weathering is excellent. CK to the rescue as time was rapidly running out before S4um!
Still a mountain of work to be done!

Just superb running there Robin.

Excellent scenics there Andrew. I'm very impressed with the rough grass.

Very sweet running there Cap'n! Definitely worth all the effort.

...and now to play with it on BS!

At last, your exacting requirements are satisfied!....... Well done.

From a chum who had some going spare, as far as I can remember. I've kept loads of small off-cuts from many years ago in a box, which I dip into every so often when I need to add some weight to a loco.
That was me! I have contacts in the building trade, honest Guv!
Seriously though, good work there Cap'n. Your old mate Percy Vere has rewarded you!

Again, a warm welcome to the hobby and particularly RMweb.
Gordon and Maggie Gravett who taught me all that l know and also I learned a lot from Martin Welberg's work. All three are masters in the field of scenics. Martin's 'ground cover' is the best that I've ever seen.
You may have seen Martin's thread on here. I aspire to such perfection! http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/97576-martins-homegrown-trees-bushes-n-weeds/page-2

Looks marvellous Andrew.
The 'underpinnings' are an excellent method giving the whole layout almost guaranteed 'flatness'. We use a similar method on Balcombe but using mild steel tube.
