Every one of GBRf’s 100 strong class 66 fleet is featured in my new video. Every current special livery is included. All filmed around the Peterborough area
it also shows how non standard GBRf’s ‘standard’ blue and orange colour scheme
is!
so if you like 66’s and Modern railfreight, and have an hour to spare!, sit back and enjoy.

Hi
anyone have a publication schedule for future ‘Diesel Dawn’ issues?

thanks

Good Moring
i have recently obtained a Hornby 'class 29' D6110 in all over BR green, yellow ends and centre headcode box.
is this livery correct? most of the images i see of these loco's they seem to have a light green band along the top of the bodysides.
There is a picture on the Hattons Website of one that appears to be all over green but i am not convinced that's just the angle the picture is taken at.
In the book 'the heyday of Scottish diesels' on page 63 there is a photo which appears all over green too, but again its a head on shot so is not 100% clear.
this image from Wikipedia seems to be all over green too.
does anyone have the definitive answer? Did some D61XX diesels carry all over green?

Well, my set was delivered this morning although there was no warning on the MNA website that this was imminent. Haven't had a chance to open them yet so can't comment on the content!

Was it the Finale set or encore you had delivered? I’ve still to hear anything and their website has not been updated which is unusual.

I think you've got the washer on upside down - it should be at the top of the spring and slides on the plastic slot with plenty of lube between the two. I suspect that what's happening is that the spring is catching on the plastic slot and stopping the pin sliding in the slot, it's sticking and causing the inside wheelset to unload and lift.
I've got three serviceable Jubes here (and a couple more in the works !) and they all have the washer between the spring and the loco chassis.
Many thanks for this
i changed the washer and spring positions and it was running around curves with no issues at all.
appreciate the help.

Morning
I have recently refurbished a Mainline Jubilee Loco and DCC Fitted it. The loco runs lovely and no issues fitting a chip to the split chassis.
however I have noticed that on curves, the front bogie lifts off the rails to one side. it does not derail. the curves on the layout are 4th on the outer and 3rd on the inner. This is necessary. the bogie seems to be free to rotate when i hold the loco off the track and the wheels turn freely so am at a loss as to why it does this.
i have attached the below screenshot from my YouTube video and you can clearly see the wheels are in the air.
I will also attach a link to the video so you can see the problem as the loco runs. if you do not want to watch the whole restoration skip to 28mins and 5 seconds to see the mainline jubilee running, and the bogie lifting.

This Jim person who runs Modelmasters must be on a wind up? Advising when to ring on a mobile number. Between 13:30 and 15:00. Two days now and its constantly on voicemail, which is full.
Did anyone else place an order around boxing day with the promise of a free book? I got the order but the note said ‘book to follow’.
tried to contact them as i have not received anything yet and cannot raise the bloke.

Modelmaster

I ordered some items last year,
boxing day i think, as there was an offer of a free book. Half of the transfers eventually arrived but the book never did, neither did the missing orders. Excuse after excuse but now i have had no contact for
over 6 months. I won’t ever use him
again.
it makes me wonder if it maybe worth pursuing Jim through Peco as modelmaster supply transfers for their parkside kits.
if nothing else it may alert Peco to potential problems with supply in the future.
