Yes it has to appeal to people with interest in things along the way. Not just Railway enthusiasts it would not get the ratings to keep it worth while making. If you showed a drivers eye view of a railway route for an hour. Some would find that of great interest. Some like my other half would say its like watching paint dry

Yes. I was well into everything NSE then got a like for BR Blue so sold all the NSE stuff off. Then got a like for BR Steam so all the BR Blue went to fund that. Then sold all that off to buy a pair of alpha binoculars for birding. And now I am slowly collecting NSE stuff again. Dare not think how much has been spent over a time and never finished a layout yet -

Don't go looking for Branch lines or light Railway insperation its not good for you. You will only end up buying more books and doodling track plans on any bits of paper you can find

Only got my one from hattons Got a late crest on order with Rails but have missed there first batch. but glad about that saves being £200 light at once
