  1. Hi Sean, Did you use photographs for your detailling underneath.? I cant find a decent close up pic of the fuse boxes and cables from it. I did this on my BFK and have started to make some more for the TSO's Rob
  2. Hi Sean, I hope you dont mind, i copied your pic so i could paste it here to show exactly what i meant. It is the on nearest the pressure vent unit but it would be handy to see close ups and know how all three of these bits were made. right hand cluster ( three ). Rob
  3. Hi Sean, I have just started to scratch build the undergubbins on my mk2's and was wondering if you could take a close up pic of the fuse boxes and explanation of how you built them please. This would be most helpfull. I have bought Peter Cowling resin battery boxes and am about to make the other bits, so any help/ tips would be appreciated.
  4. These Dapol Wessies look fantastic. 8) . I just hope Dapol Dave and co have decided to scale it up to 7mm and it wont be long in coming Rob
  5. Hi Sean, thanks for the kind words. The windows on the BFK are the only ones that have been finished and i,ve since decided to use etch frames. But i rubbed the body carefully around the molded frames and paint the inside of the apperture black. Then i used Finecast Triang Big Big coach flush glazing. It looks ok but i hope to get a better result in window etches and a piece of clear glazing behind. I have a mate at the moment looking into window etches and it may be possible to get an A4 sheet done full of window frames which hopefully do about 5 coaches. Time will tell along with cost etc. I look forward to your next up-date. Rob
  6. Hi Sean, Thanks for the reply. Here are a couple of pics of my Mk2's. The BBFK in the picture still has the roof to be finished and the 5 x TSO's has become x6 . The FK still has a lot of work to be done. But i have now fitted the other end. Rob
  7. Hi Sean, I have been watching this thread for some time and have found it very interesting. I have ( or am in the process ) cut n shut 8x Big Big/Triang Mk2's. Im trying to source where i can get the window etches done. I like the way you have done the roof strips. My stumbling block at the mo is seats. I too have thought about casting in resin but i have'nt cast before so that could be interesting. How much did your window etches cost?. I have tried to cut n shut two big big's to make an FK and have already done a BFK. I have the bodies of 6x TSO with more to do. What size strip did you use for the roof?. Rob
  8. Well i've got to say it looks FANTASTIC. This is far better than the HJ one. I just hope Dapol size up and do a 7mm one . PLEEEEEEASE. Rob
  9. Here are a few more pics of the progress so far.
  10. Hi, Very interesting project you've got going here. I have built 6 pullman carriages in 7mm . Unfortunately i sold them to a mate. However i have thought about scratch building them again. They were all kits, but some of the parlour cars were incorrect. I altered Perseus . Lucille and Zena were correct. I also built Vera, Ibis and Minerva. I hoped to eventually build what your hoping to buid ie the full set. But my mate came up with an offer i couldnt refuse. I have enjoyed taking plenty of photo's both internal and external so if you need any help with photo's etc send me a PM. Keep sending the progress pics. Rob
  11. Hi Jon, look forward to seeing the progress on this. I have seen pics of Talacre before and was very impressed. If its half as good as that it will be great. Rob

I hope to do some more work later , including taking some pics. PS if anyone has any interior pics that you could share it would be much appreciated. Rob
  19. I have just started to scratch build Penzance Signal Box out of plasticard/ plastic section etc.. This is a break from rolling stock as i have no layout at present. At the mo i have marked out the plastic sheet (inner skin )and brick sides (lower part of the box). When i have completed this i will take some pics. The signal box will, when finished will be illuminated. Right off to do some more work on it. Rob

  21. Here are some pics of the progress so far on my second Motorail flat. I still have some work to do but it is nearly finished. The work to do consists of wheel choc's to be made and fitted, NOT TO BE LOOSE SHUNTED transfers to be added (to both flats) and a tail-light as this flat has a dropped buckeye because it will be the end of the rake. .I hope to do some work over the christmas break on the third flat. The rest of the rake will consist of 2x FO and 2x FK,these will be Easybuild Mk1's (not yet bought) Rob
