  1. Random question, but does anyone have any measurements for any of the WR class 47 names? Nameplate lengths, height. Letter size(height etc)
  2. Wow what a minefield. So what livery would presflos have been in a Ponsandane freight. Pics ive seen seem to show bauxite, so these would be lettered CEMENT. Am i correct in that assumption.??
  3. Thanks for the replies guys but I'm confused. I've seen a pic of one at Lostwithiel with the wording " Slaters Powder" can anyone explain more.
  4. I have just built a JLTRT Presflo wagon but wondered what the lettering would be whilst in bauxite livery during late 60's early 70's. If anyone has any pics of these wagons in Devon / Cornwall during this period i would be most grateful. Regards Rob
  5. Does anyone have any pics of FVV Motorail car flats. I am soon to be building some in 7mm using Easybuild bits but really need to get a few more helpful pics before i start work.
  6. Great work Phill. Can i ask if the floor recess is for the motor. If so why have you decided to power this power car as opposed to the other with less windows that would hide the motor?.
  7. I need to get on with the glazing on the peak, so may do a bit on that later today. Although im not happy with the headcode boxes so will amend those at some point.
  8. Hi Ian, good to hear from you. Hope your ok. Thankyou , yes there ok when fitted behind the windows.
  9. Here we have the other end engine ( opposite side ) and boiler plus a pic of all three together to show how it looks before fitting.
  10. Not much to report really other than i have been making window theatres for the other side of Western Trooper and Western Stalwart and all of Western Buccaneers . These have been made out of bits of wire and plastic. I had to re-do the originals from Trooper as when the radio controlled equipment was installed when putting the body back onto the chassis it fouled the theatres. this i have had to do by making the theatres closer to the windows. Unfortunately IMO they dont look as good as they dont give the impression that there is a narrow walkway but thats the way it has to be, I will take some more pics of the boiler theatre and other engine as its slightly different representing the other side of the engine.
  11. Looking forward to seeing this project develop.
  12. No Steve. I have done a bit of modelling simply because no decorating has been done yet due to Lucy's life is in boxes and stored in the conservatory while her flat is being sorted. . Had the pleasure of driving up to Glasgow and back a Wednesday night / early hours Thursday morning with only an hour break for loading the car the other week.
  13. And finally for today is one of the other TPO vehicles. This is a POS M80347. Rob
  14. Here is another of my projects. Building a rake of TPO's. These are scratch built using resin sides. I still have the roof to shorten and fit properly then detail, plus finish the glazing and add the security mesh behind the windows. Also i need to add end steps that hang down on brackets at both ends plus some other bits n bobs. The next vehicle which i have already started and again just need to sort the roof is M80456 which is a BPOT. This i will be selling as its really too modern for my time scale. I will do myself an ealier version with the larger windows at some point. Rob
  15. More progress pics of the peak. I still have work to do but im getting there. The bufferbeam needs a couple of hoses sorting then they can be painted. I will fit the other buffer head when i can find it arrrrrrrgh. The other bogie will get primer on if we ever get a sunny weekend before xmas, otherwise it will get sprayed the next time we do. In the meantime i will continue with the glazing before it goes off to have radio control equipment fitted. Rob
  16. Here are some progress pics of my peak now i have finally worked out how to re-size and post. ( old pc in the scrap yard, new google notebook ) These pics have been taken a while ago and i have made quite a bit more progress since. I am off to take some more pics of the latest progress and will post later. Rob
  17. Ooooow that worked, i now have to try and remember how i did it and repeat.
  18. OK its been a while since i last posted anything. I've been having computer issues. I now have a google note book but struggling to re-size and post images. So if this attempt works i may have sorted. This is a pic of D1033 Western Trooper being tested on the newly laid track. Rob
  19. Do you have any probs with the double sided tape losing its gum.?. The rake looks very impressive. What would add that WR touch would be to add those yellow destination transfers that i have on my mk2's. I would post some pics on here but pc up the spout so im on chrome notebook and i havent a clue how to post.
