  1. Will do......have some of the Transfesa vans to go with it.
  2. A couple of pictures of 25083 at the NGS meeting, taken on an iPad so pretty poor, i'll get some better ones taken once the decals are added. Some photos of the Interfrigo ferry van. The ladder next to the door is too far to the left so will be moved.
  3. Are you building an airfield anywhere for the Shackleton?
  4. Yes, they do a LD van full list is here http://www.osbornsmodels.com/arch-laser-n-scale-vehicles-1209-c.asp
  5. Another productive day at the NGS Yorkshire meeting. 25083 had a run out with a freight train after being reassembled. All the glazing back in after a fight and cab and lighting refitted. The Interfrigo van body is nearly complete, handrails all added, walkways and ladders added. The walkway is a bit too wide but will do. I’ve spotted that I’ve mounted the access ladders to the doors to far to the left, so I’ll need to move them. Pictures of both will follow. After finishing the Leyland National I found that London Transport only had 10.3m vehicles. The Farish one is a 11.3m bus.......however as Farish made the model to 1/160 rather than 1/148 it scales out almost exactly at 10.3m. Against the RMs it doesn’t look out of place.
  6. The painting of 25083 has been completed, however when I went to start putting on the decals I found I didn’t have any double arrows! These have been ordered from Railtec along with custom numbers and a few other bits n bobs. Glazing for the engine room windows and the new centre window have been made with Micro Kristal klear. Did a bit of wagon weathering today.....five Presflos, five MCVs and a single van. The Routemasters have been reassembled after painting, these will need destination blinds, adverts etc. Both have had the platform window glazed as ODC didn’t. NGS Meeting tomorrow, I’m taking a mixed goods train and a pair of class 25,s including 25083’s first public run out. I hope to get on with the Interfrigo van whilst I’m there. Handrails, ladders, underframe etc to be completed?
  7. I can find pictures of LP808 panel vans but no cab chassis, there’s a brochure on eBay but it’s for the UK spec vans. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-Benz-L406D-L408-L608D-LP808-Van-Pick-Up-Brochure-UK-Sales-Market-1971-/371782280512
  8. I see that RailNscale have introduced a Opel Kadett C.....in the UK with a different nose it was of course the Vauxhall Chevette. Only available in 1/160 so far. Hopefully they will anglicise the Kadett like they did with the Ascona into the Cavalier.
  9. We have agreed a price with our builder for the house alterations, end of June looking likely for a start date, so I've plenty of time to get some more work done to Olympia before it needs to be moved out.
  10. A reasonably warm and wind free day ( No Chorizo ) meant the RM's got the rattle can treatment in the garden. No plants were harmed in the making of this............... Sans paint after 24 hrs in Nitro Mors.... blanket manufacturers need to be worried about what paint ODC use! Now with added paint..... The upstairs seating unit has the dividing strip moulded into it so needed repainting from cream / green to white. Part of the Olympia bus fleet....there is also a DMS and a couple more RM's....then theres the National Express coaches............................... Decals arrived from Mabex for the buses today along with some goodies from Peedie Models. 3D printed post boxes and phone boxes plus etched walkway and ladders. The walkway and ladders will be used for the Interfrigo ferry van. The phoneboxes are especially fine.
  11. Well after over 24 hours in Nitro Mors the two ODC RM,s still had paint adhering to them, what paint do they use on these things! They are however clean enough to respray, pictures to follow......and it won’t be as thick as the originals.
  12. Shows you how often I look at the NGS shop site! Must have read it in the Journal though.
  13. I didn’t know TPM did them....I’ll see if the NGS shop have any left then might have to keep an eye open for them on eBay.
  14. I might have to empty a few more gin bottles...........
  15. Correct, I knew it would be easy. The only Mk1 EMU cabs I’ve found are from Bh Enterprises and don’t look that good so I’m going to have make them myself.
  16. Made a start on painting 25083......in trying to remove the lid from a bottle of Railmatch warning yellow it sheared of around its circumference. Amazingly a bottle of gin from Mrs G’s Gin advent calendar had a lid that fitted perfectly after it had donated its contents into a glass of tonic! A couple of very cheap ODC N Gauge Routemasters arrived from eBay today, neither were LT livery so after dismantling......is 5 rivets per bus a bit excessive to drill out......they are now in a bath of Nitro Mors for the night. Some photos will follow. I’ve recovered a Mk1 FK, BSK and two TSO,s from the stash at the Mother in laws.......with plans to make......?
  17. Had a very pleasant couple of hours this afternoon with Horizontal of this parish who dropped in to see Kensington Olympia, one of many signalboxes he has worked in over the years. For his layouts take a look here http://ty-pella.co.uk/Index.html Aussie Ore railway in the garden...very cranky. Thank you for the comments. Great to see you and enjoy the weekend in York.
  18. The Leyland National is now all painted, need to order some transfers from Mabex. I’ll post a picture later.
  19. Great looking tank wagons Paul, scratchbuilt I guess?
  20. After languishing in its box for nearly 18 months the rattle cans came out and the third of my scratchbuilt Transfesa ferry vans finally got painted yesterday. White primer for the roof and Fiat Capri blue for the body. The Interfrigo ferry van also got painted with the white primer, prior to have holes drilled in it for handrails etc. Bit of a tidy up on the layout today as I have a visitor tomorrow.
  21. Making the buses 1/160 was a big error. They are better than the ODC diecast ones by a mile as the windows are so set back. The Cars Workshop DMS is nice but very scarce. I’m surprised they haven’t issued that in British liveries as once LT got rid of them they were everywhere. A Titan would be good as would an RML.
  22. Found that someone a Shapeways does a Reliant Rialto.....it’s not a Robin that it’s advertised as......these weren’t introduced until 1982. Sadly I know a fair bit about three wheelers not helped by this website http://www.3wheelers.com
  23. It’s a VW1500......as my Dad only ever had three wheelers......Bond minicar, Reliant 3/25, Supervan, Robin, Rialto.....I’ve always wanted to do a 3/25 as as kids we went from Brighton to Nottingham through Central London in it. I only ever had one driving lesson in one of them, the Supervan. It was the only time I ever swore at my Mother!
  24. Bare naked Leyland National or as its a London Transport one an LS. Now with a coat of many one colour! The class 25/3 in undercoat. I think I will need to mark out where the triangular inspection hatch is one each side prior to painting it rail blue as its not very visible. This is a nice easy conversion for those of us who can't wait until 2025 for Farish to announce one!
