I think I will decorate the station for the late steam era, but as it would be part of modular FREMO meetings, there will also be session when more modern trains are running. For the first FREMO meeting my Arisvaig station is booked for, the modular arrangement is set in the 1980s. So Arisvaig will ship Timber on OTAs or OBAs, and will receive some fertilizer for the forestry commision. Markus

Hello, I'm building a 00 scale modular 00 scale station based on the trackplan of Arisaig. My Arisaig version is called Arisvaig. These would be a fictisious station on the Westhighland Line. I wonder what kind of freight was reiceived or send from Arisaig station in the steam era. You may wondering why I don't call my station Arisaig. It's because of the way it is constructed it couldn't represent the prototype as I would like. I will use the Peco lasercut kits for the buildings of the station. Here is the track plan. I wonder if they changed the tender drive to a loco drive on the Black Five. I own one of the Black Fives of their 2010s range. And it regulary locked its rods when I was driving the loco. So I haven't used it for many years, since I've got one of their 5MTs. Markus

Hello, a new update from my modelrailway. Markus

I had some issues again with them. After I had received my order during 2021, I had tried them again, and during late 2021 and early 2022 there were no issues. But then when I ordered at the beginning of October 2022. I heard nothing for 2 month. The I wrote them an e-mail, no reply, I send another with the thread of contacting my credit card provider. I've got a reply stating, that they were waiting for an item, and that the would send me my order within the next few days. These was in late November. Around christmas I haven't received anything, so in contacted them again, and no answer. I gave them one week time to reply. No answer. At December 31st I wrote them another e-mail stating that by the end of the day I would regard these kind of behaviour as possible fraud, and that I will contact my card company about it. I received an e-mail stating that they had send me an e-mail that they have send the parcel. That e-mail have I never received. I waited two or three weeks. Noting happend. Now there was the Royal Mail problems with sending goods to foreign countries. In February I contacted them again, and told them that if they weren't able to send me my order via another logistic partner, I would like them to cancel my order. Now I received my order within a week with DPD. I think it is a shame that they show these behaviour. And it seems that only threatening them with legal consequences showed some results. I'm now very done with them. And I liked their 3D printed cars in N gauge very much. Markus

Hello, since my last update I did some work on my layout. I replaced all my SEEP point motors with ones from MTB, I also installed a Locomotech Turntable drive and built some consoles for my TRIX leverframe and my Bellcode Telegraph. Markus

Hello Andy, nice pictures. May I ask from where you get your models of the tractor-trailer unites seen in the last photos?. I'm looking for some lorries for my N gauge layout. I have lorry models from Osborns, Oxford, BT Models, and N tastic Models. May I also ask you what you have used for the cobblestones shown in the last pictures? Markus

Yesterday I visited a friend of mine for his annual Silvester Layout. These time after two years of none or restricted access due to covid, it was held in its traditional way. As usual the timeperiod during the operating sessions is set to the time after the great war. These time mostly bavarian locomotives are used. I hope you enjoy the video. Markus

Today I tried it again, and now it runs. I haven't changed anything on my Intellibox. I only tried to read CV 29, and tried to adjust it to DCC only. But at last I programmed CV29 to the value it was delivered with, and now it runs without any problems. Markus

I collected my sound fitted Caley Jumbo in BR black livery today and put it on my rolling road. The Sound is working, but the loco is not running. I tested it with my two DCC command stations (an Uhlenbrock Daisy and an Uhlenbrock Intellibox Basic) and I tested it with a DC powerpack, everytime the sound worked but the loco didn't move. Now I had contacted Rails. I have to say that I'm not very happy with these. Markus

Yesterday I was able to visit my friend Dirk, who usually held his Silvester Layout operating sessions during the period after christmas. Due to the increasing rate of infections he decided to cancle these tradition. But he offered that if we like to visit him we could run some trains on his reduced Silvester layout. I took the opportunity, and we run my bavarian rolling stock, that I have acquired at the Intermodellbau at Dortmund. And at last there is a short glimpse of a N scale LNER J36 I've building from a Farish C Class chassis and an 3d printed body from Shapeways. Markus

Since I send my mail to Osborns Models, I haven't received no answer except for their automated reply mail. I won't push it forward, as I had only ordered two articles. But for the future I think I won't order anything from them. I'm a bit sad about these, because they've got some nice N gauge vehicles. I also posted a warning in our german british railways forum, not to buy from Osbornes Models. Markus

Hello, after my problems with Osborns Models during springtime. I thought why not give them a second chance, after I saw their Scania lorry. So I decided to oreder an Oxford Rail wagon and some Peco Rail Joiners for a future 00 project. These was at December 10th. I've paid with credit card. And since then no communication from Osborns. Today I asked for an update on my order. Let's see if I receive an answer. Markus

Hello Martin, here a version that might work for you, simple use the runround track from Platform 2 as your throughtrack and change the mainline curve on the inside of the carriage sidings with the outermost carriagesiding track. Markus
