    Layout Visit
Yesterday I visited a friend of mine for his annual Silvester Layout. These time after two years of none or restricted access due to covid, it was held in its traditional way.
As usual the timeperiod during the operating sessions is set to the time after the great war. These time mostly bavarian locomotives are used.
I hope you enjoy the video.

    Layout Visit
Yesterday I was able to visit my friend Dirk, who usually held his Silvester Layout operating sessions during the period after christmas. Due to the increasing rate of infections he decided to cancle these tradition.
But he offered that if we like to visit him we could run some trains on his reduced Silvester layout. I took the opportunity, and we run my bavarian rolling stock, that I have acquired at the Intermodellbau at Dortmund.
And at last there is a short glimpse of a N scale LNER J36 I've building from a Farish C Class chassis and an 3d printed body from Shapeways.

    Hello,
during the christmas time and the first weekends in January a friend of mine held the so called Silvester Layout operating session during that time. The time period is set to 1919 just before the founding of the DRG (Deutsch Reichsbahn Gesellschaft, Impirial German Railway Society). Most of the layout is assembled with modules built to the FREMO N-RE standards. Enjoy the video.

Last friday attended the FREMO regional meeting at Hanau. The modular layout was set in the early 80s and we used timetable and freightcards to operate the layout.
Here you could find my pictures.

I spent the last two weeks on holiday in the northern Harz Mountains in eastern Germany.
Due to severe cold I suffered in the first week I couldn't spent as much time as planned on
riding trains on the Harzer Schmallspurbahnen (Harz Narrow Gauge Railway"
But last thursday I was able to ride on the Selketalbahn from Stiege (with turning loop) to Eisfelder Talmühle
(where the Selketalbahn joins the Harz Querbahn from Nordhausen to Wernigerode"
During the summertimbetabel some trains on the Selketalbahn which runs usually with a diesel railcar are
exchanged with steam loco hauled trains. These happens from thursday to saturday.
I made a short film of my train ride.

It's been now some time after the Great-britN modular meeting.
Since then I decided to scrap my Borve modules, which where a junction station.
So because our group lost a junction, I decided to build a simple junction module.
    Here is the actual result.

Last weekend, we held the second Great-britN meeting at Lohr.
We had modules for a scottish branchline and a busy singletrack mainline terminating at Penzance.
Here you could see my pictures from the meeting.

    Hello,

last weekend I attended the FREMO regional meeting at Hanau near Frankfurt. There we assembled a quite large modular layout in N scale, with timetable operation.
The layout featuered a two track main line from fiddle yard Schattenbach through Karlsruhe Durlach, to Abzweig Hohenrein, there the two track main changed to an single line
main, from there it enters the second fiddle yard Frankental. From Frankental two branchlines emerges. One goes to the Industrial and harbour district, and the second was a branchline
wich goes to the CSSR, cross the Iron Curtain. From Hohenrein, another branchline reached Tettnang. From Karlsruhe Durlach, there was a single track mainline to France.
The timeperiod was the late 1970s to mid 1980s. We've got trains from DB, SNCF, CSD and the private industrial railway which served the industrial district.
At Karlsruhe Durlach and Rittershause (on the french line) there we changed locos between DB and SNCF. At Frankental locos were changed between DB and CSD.
Here is a film I made during the meeting.

As some of you know the Isle of Skye modular N scale layout was exhibited at the Irvine show 2012 held by the Kilmarnock & District Model Railway Club.
We are now back from Irvine. We had a great week there. Bill and the members of the Kilmarnock & District Model Railway Club are very hospitaly and give us a great time.
We enjoyed the Irvine 2012 show.
Pictures I made during the week could be found here. https://picasaweb.go...CLz7y7PwrtXklQE
And here are two videos I made. The first is from the trip to Scotland and the second is from the exhibition.

With only about 2 Month until our Great-britN meeting, I started with the construction of the firt of the tree required modules. I called it Glenbogle Viaduct.
For the viaduct I used a Scalescenes kit. After the viaduct was built, I started the construction of the module.

In July I will held an module meeting with some friends. There will be a british arrangement with modern diesel traction and a heritage train. And there will be a continental modular arrangement with a harbour railway related theme.
Here I show you the british modul arrangement. On the top will be Penzance station, then there will bei the stations Borve (Junction station) and Uig (terminus). There will be the halts Earlish (after the fiddle yard) and Romesdale (between Borve and Uig)
and we will have a MPD between Borve and Penzance.
    The continental arrangement will follow.

Today my Borve modules get their legs. And I placed the modules in my hallway.
Then I assembled my other modules in my railway room.
Now I could measure the distance between Borve and my layout for building the
    missing module.
