When I read the July issue online I had problems on some pages (e.g. the article about the Metcalfe corner shop, and on a few other occassions) the first two pages of the article are no problem, but when I try to get to the next page, but I was directed not to the next but two or three pages forward. Last friday attended the FREMO regional meeting at Hanau. The modular layout was set in the early 80s and we used timetable and freightcards to operate the layout. Today I received the USB stick with the drawings from Mallaig Station. But I was a bit disappointed because, there are only drawing from the ground and first floor, and drawings from the sides of a second building, but not from the main building. But From the floor drawings I could make a footprint of the building, and the height could be made by judging the height. Markus

I think the problem with the new 4F is that it is lighter than the old model. Also on the J39 there the motor is in the tender, which is quite light, but the 4F and the J39 was one of the stronger models of my newer Farish locos. But the 2-6-0 4MT and the Black Five are now poor runner because of the lightwight tender, and blocking valve gear on the loco. Markus

Hello Kosta, I've found a picture of a Class 26 in large logo grey livery with two Mk2 coaches, the coach behind the engine was in Scot Rail livery. The picture is on page 61 of Modern Locomotives Illustrated No. 201. The picture was taken in 1990. On the same page there is a picture of a Class 26 in the above mentioned livery hauling a train of Mk2 in blue grey, but behind the engine there is a Mk1 BG in Inter City livery. Hello, It's been quite a while since my last post. With only a bit more of a month until my housemove and change of job. I started to tear down my G&D Sorethroat branch layout. But I will built a new one. Because my new layout room is smaller in size. It is roughly 4x3 meters. So I planned a new one. These time the Sorethroat branch runs from the fiddle uphill. I will reuse my bought Piko and Atlas track for the fiddle yard. On the visible part I will handlay the track and for the turnouts I will use Fast Track templates and turnout jig. The end of the line is located over the fiddle yard. The lower part of the layout. The upper part Markus

I think I will lengthen West Argyl Street a bit to the west, and the lengthend part would be the station road. Markus

Hello, as Felix mentioned Ullapool and Inverlael are sold. Inverlael will got to Austria, and Ullapool will remain in the Frankfurt area. During the session we have spoken about the new layout and we came to the conclusion, that I could go on the the Ullapool theme. But for the new layout I have to relocate the area of the station more westerly to the Broomfield Holiday Park area. And during the evening of the session weekend we enjoyed some wee drams. And I've tried a sip of Laphroig quarter cask single malt. But I have to confess, that it is not my taste. Markus

I've ordered the three of the tank wagons. One in ESSO, one in REGENT and one in unbranded livery. Markus

In the last few days I extended the layoutframe to the place of the passing station. Pictures will follow soon. I'm wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for another small steam engine for the G&D Sorethroat branch. So could you tell me the length of the Bachmann Alco 2-6-0 and the older Bachmann 2-6-0? Thank you
