I haven't had the best of days. The journey up was marred by number of cockwombles including several with no lights on.
The job didn't go to plan either but has worked to my advantage. There are parts of it that can't be done unless some major structural work takes place which means that I should finish earlier than expected tomorrow.
AndyB - I have to agree with you about the Lynx. I spent numerous hours in them in Ireland either dropping me off or picking me up from the middle of nowhere. Always a relief when it arrived.
John - Not great news about Debs.

Not a great nights sleep for some reason and it's still dark outside so can't comment on the weather.
Working away until tomorrow which isn't too bad and it should also be an early finish and journey home if it goes to plan.

At last the van is sorted out. Well, when I say sorted out I mean collected.
Now all I need to do is load it ready for tomorrow.
Another time I'll have to unload it and fit it out how I want.

Morning all.
Not a great nights sleep thanks to the wind and rain.
Today sees me battling Southern and South Western to get to Aldershot so that I can pick up the van. It could be an interesting journey with the weather and I haven't looked to see if there are any delays yet.
Once I get the van home it looks like I'll be getting cold and wet sorting it out for an early departure tomorrow.
My thoughts are with the missing ailing and recovering.

Morning all. Yet another grey day.
Apologies for being AWOL for the last 10 days, but life has been far too hectic.
There are far too many posts to read through so I'll have to send generic C&C's are required
The new business has been frighteningly busy with meetings, requests, surveys and quotes and the new lady in my life deserved some time as well.
However, I do get to spend more time with her as she's teaching me her job by me learning the proper way to do book keeping.
The week ahead looks busy collecting the new van tomorrow, working away for two days and then a meeting in the Midlands on Thursday.

Morning all. A bit late on parade as other things took priority.
Yesterday was one of mixed fortunes.
I went to have a look at the van and test drive it but found several things wrong which the dealer wasn't prepared to give a discount on so I walked away and I am now trying to source another one.
The meal last night was in a small village pub. The food and service was excellent and not too pricey either. We ended up talking for ages to the point where we had to be kicked out having not realised the time.
The drive back was interesting thanks to the volume of falling and standing water with many drivers definitely in the 'too fast for the conditions' club.
Today will means getting the shopping for my parents as dad still isn't quite fit enough to complete this himself and I'm out again this evening. Modelling time is certainly diminished but I'm not complaining.
My thoughts with Debs and all ailing and missing ER's.

My thoughts with Debs as well as other ailing and missing ER's.

I am doing quite well every thing is at a height of 42 inches. I think I need to take my spirit level back to B&Qs the bubble seems to be stuck in the middle every time I place it on a base board.
I have baseboards 2/3rds around the room. Tonight I was marking out the framing for the station throat board, it is an odd shape and will have point motors dangling all over the place so sorting out the battens is fun. 
Just head down to stores for a new bubble

Great that it's nothing too serious but I have to agree with Clive and Andi. If there is another episode of it don't wait for the GP and get an ambulance organised pronto.

I ended up not venturing out but not because of the weather.
Dad decided to chase the bin down the road and took a tumble. Only a few bruised ribs but definitely not able to do as much as usual.
Another attempt for the van will now happen tomorrow afternoon.

A very productive day with a lot achieved and I even managed to fit in some modelling as well.
Tomorrow I'm meant to be going to organise the new van and hopefully the weather won't cause too many problems.

Morning all. A better nights sleep but feel tired already.
Cold and windy but at least there is no snow or rain.
If everything goes to plan today, I'll only be on site for 2 - 3 hours and then I'll be able to head home.
