I have recently - Sept 2015 - posted odd pictures on various threads, of PO's I've hand painted in the past.
It seems about time I posted them as a group.
Of course since I started painting these in the late 1960's, but mostly in the late 70's, most of these liveries are now available in RTR variations or on POWsides extensive lists..... There are one or two they they haven't done, yet
They are not all here, there's around 60 wagons up and running, but some are away on long term loan on friends layouts...
The earliest wagon I scratch built and lettered around 1967, is in plastikard - 'Henry Workman', based on a drawing in a 1960 Model Railway News.
The Llewellyn wagon next to it is based one on a glass neg I have of the lime kilns at Kington.
've painted it Green, but I'm told, some 40 years later, that it was probably Grey.
Of course the complex Gellycidrim is now RTR....

Pit props galore - remains of trimmings from a 100' long privet hedge I had to cut back in the 70's..

Amman Iron Co., built in 1967 too. Croall & Co., based on a Corrall's livery.
My Mother, Mrs Croall, worked in Corrall's Offices.. Radnorshire wagon because I was going to do Knighton in Radnorshire.

The Breconshire Coal 7 Lime is now available POWsides.....

Some of the wagons the trade has copied with transfers...

    And again........

    I don't think they've done Caergyndd yet.
This was from a photo of wagons at Dunvant, the photo was in the Railway Inn at Killay, again back in the '70's.

The one on the left, which can hardly be read close up, is 'Breconshire Farmers Association', That was difficult to cram in.

More liveries now available off the shelf...

E.D. is 'Earl of Dudley', made for a friends layout who has sadly passed away now...

'Malvern Gas department', yes there was one owned by the District Council and I spoke with one of their former employees who gave me the information, that was back in 1975, 40 years ago.
