The problem as far as I'm aware is using PVA & Liquid Lead is using it in confined air tight spaces? I have used it under wagons like this for years without any problems.

Should be easy enough to remove the liquid led from the area where it fouls the flanges ?

That seems like a good solution to the problems with these type of bogies 👍

Have you omitted working pony wheels in favour of reliable running?

I use Kadee’s for coaching stock & 3 links for freight. More recently I have been experimenting with homemade magnetic couplings for freight with good results, these do require the “hand of god“ to uncouple but couple automatically. Phill

Hi Simon, I have found your experiment with Tam Valley & the Duchess most interesting, I do hope you resolve your issues with the Tam Valley system as at present it seems tge only option for synchronised true loco sound for us dead rail types. Cheers Phill

Yes its that one I think? But it was a lot more complicated than that. The loco is not finished yet, the blue patches are where the Scotish numbers were.
