  1. No461, is a Class J74 ex NERly engine, and not H&BRly as stated, here is another view, this time at Sprinhead.

  5. Here is an interesting might have been, a c1914 proposal to buid a loop south of Springhead, it would have left the Main Line roughly at Wolferton Lane.

  9. Rob, I'm sure the train is going to South Howden, left distance are what I take to be the houses on Willeby Road etc, then they would only be a couple of years old. Far right is Springhead works etc, just visable right middle is No38 bridge, this was later filled in.
  10. H&BRly No3 withdrawn in 1922, the photo' was taken19 September 1904 .
  11. Originally no doubt horse drawn, I only remember a device like a lawn mower, and used to push the wagons.
  12. I can remeber the tram line when in use, became redundant c1955 when the waterworks no longer burnt coal.

  16. This is the only decent photo' of Hull Bridge in original form known to myself. The two drawings are original H&BRly documents.
