  1. Ex H&BRly Class A No128, LNERly Q10 2509, Springhead late '20's
  2. Interestingly, my above photo' shows the Main Line signal as the shorter doll, see attached.
  3. H&BRly Class B, No139 Springhead, no date, but I suggest prior to the Great War.
  4. H&BRly Class B No94, said to be near York. E Bay buy, no further details.
  5. Kirk Smeatoni is techanicaly on the wrong side of the state line but I think near enough for inclusion here. It could be turned in to an interesting model, a bit of everything. I have more details.
  6. Patrington looking owards Withernsea, shows the 1904 built signalbox, this was badly damaged during the last war. Old postcard.
  7. A bit of modelling insperation, Otteringham, a typical Double to Single line layout, complete with station, level crossing and goods yard.
  8. Theyy, the Kinky Boots were kept in the locking room, near corner again the door.
  9. Russ, the Boom Gates only clossed off the roadway, they were electricly worked and worked together. The ref on the photo was to the original set up with mechanical gates and four lines. If you want to model "Boom Gates" I made drawings when I was signalman, just ask.
  10. 4524 further to picture a few posts back, if on Withernsea Branch possibly Ryehill and coming off the Single Line from Hedon.
  11. 24 August 1952, 45707 Valiant Botanic. This is the one I had intended to post yesterday.
  12. Indead, I copied what was on the scan, working from Thumbnails can be dangerious.
  13. Sprotbrough signalbox, H&BRly Denaby Branch. Actually in South Yorkshire, but now a twist in the tail, it is presently being rebuilt on the Yorkshire Wolds Rly.
  14. Rob, Cherry Tree was my first signalbox. I can't positivly date the photo' but it is pre 15 July 1951 when the Down Main Starter, just seen above the engine, became a UQ signal.
  15. Put Needle Telegraph or similar in to Youtube etc, you will find your answer.
  16. UK practice was to use Needle Instruments, not a morse key and sounders as per "Cowboy" films. I may have photo's I will check.
  17. Rob, the engine at Little Weighton is a J25, splashers too small for a J21, see attached for comparison.
