  1. Enjoyable video guys. The scenery is looking great. Nice selection of trains too. Cheers Peter.
  2. Well it's been a while since my last update. But I have recently done some work in my Dapol brake van. It's a great model but I thought I would improve the roof with some more modern rainstrips. Also on the work bench is the first Heljan loco I bought, it's been in bits for years but I finally made a start on removing the cowling and making up the Pete Harvey bufferbeams.
  3. Hi Nigel, It is yeah looking forwards to seeing how it looks myself. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Ian, How's it going mate, I did that on my old Bachmann models too. It might be worth doing it on my Hornby ones but the pickups do seem to be doing their job. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Ian, My Hornby ones are pretty clean, they have a better set up than the Bachmann models but i can certainly have a better look. Cheers Peter.
  6. A couple of pics showing 97405 on an engineer's train leaving the station and 25313 on ECS arriving in the carriage sidings. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks Doug, I will have a chat with you next time I see you. The capacitor will need to be a small as I have very little room in the class 08. Cheers Peter.
  8. Thanks Mate, I will take a few pics and post them up I have been a bit slack recently. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Dave, great to see some news pics. The new stock is looking superb. Cheers Peter.
  10. So I bought a Heljan Peak, and to be honest I am not that impressed. Apart from the shape it's the running for me it just doesn't seem to run as smooth as my Bachmann ones. I put a rails decoder in mine I am just wondering what others have used. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi, Thanks. I have now ordered a couple, it looks like you can remove the ribs without having to do a total repaint. Cheers Peter.
  12. I have been looking forwards to getting a couple of these, but the three ribs on the body are not something I can find in any pictures. Are they on early builds like the centre ladder. Cheers Peter.
  13. Loving the latest pics Ian. The recent work has really bought this area together. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Keefer, I model 1986 7. I thought putting b5s under an inter city RBR might make a change from my other one with the commonwealth bogies but if it didn't happen then no worries saves me some work. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi all, Looking for info on bogies that were under these coaches. My coaching stock book says they were on Commonwealth bogies with some in the 17xx range having B5. Is this correct as I haven't managed to find a pic showing an Inter city MK1 RBR with B5s. Many thanks Peter.
  16. Ha ha thanks Mate. I have posted on the thread before but not for a while. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Graham, I will look then up.
  18. Hi Rich, pretty sure gaugemaster I should really check though I was thinking of putting in a newer decoder with the stay alive. The ones in the loco's have been in for a number of years now so newer ones would certainly be smaller and leave me more room. Cheers Peter.
  19. Just a question for people follow the thread. My Hornby 08s have been playing up a bit lately my 08472 has always been a bit more fussy but recently 08695 has been stalling. Any advice on what the go to decoder with stay alive would be to improve the running. DCC concepts looks pretty good. Cheers Peter.
  20. Another early morning train is the Red bank to Holyhead postal service being hauled by 31403.
  21. That's a slippery slope your heading down there Paul.😁😁
  22. I haven't see one in person but agree the pics of the newer molding don't look to bad.
  23. Thanks Steven, the actual base is carpet underlay teased out and stuck down in clumps with PVA the green is woodland scenic fiber that again is teased out to form bushes than flock is added to the top. Other bushes are foam clumps and the trees are seafoam. Cheers Peter.
  24. I think if I was going to keep it as 37430 I would be very tempted renumbering to 427 would meN some work so doing one already started makes more sense.
