  1. Could you perhaps get away with individual cut panes for the larger windows, they seem to be a standard size. Cut to fit into the frames and then put the glass behind for the dropframes in the doors?
  2. If I had a criticism, and it's not with the brilliant work you've done, it's the depth of the window reveals. Some near flush glazing would be the cherry on the cake
  3. Plenty of time to save up for that Christmas wagon then
  4. I'm a little out of touch when it comes to freight stock. My layout when I finally run a train is a mainline passenger station, so my interest has mainly been on coaching stock. However there will still be freight trains passing through, either longhaul or shorter trains passing between marshalling yards/depots on either side of the city station. The layout is based in the early 1950's and I am just wondering what fellow modellers currently consider to be the best rtr wagon models. I've been very impressed with the Bachmann underframe offered on their current po wagons/vans and tankers when compared to the likes of Hornby.
  5. Got to be Flying Scotsman surely! I'll get my hat and coat
  6. As for the canopies, if it was me, I'd add battens from front to back at approximately 8mm apart and paint it a mottled mid gray. I quite liked this model when it came out but it's obviously portraying the building as I presume it is today with an asphalt roof and chimneys demolished
  7. Any more news on when these are hitting the shops?
  8. Sure I've got one of these on preorder. Trouble I forget who've I've ordered these things from.
  9. A nice little run of three Victorian shops on Comberton Hill, Kidderminster near the SVR station
  10. On the BBC website https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-66108903?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=news_tab
  11. Presumably built as a BTK, brake third corridor
  12. So did these run in rakes or individually or a combination of the two?
  13. Not all branch line termini had an engine shed although I expect most did. Watlington didn't have a shed. The engine was sent down the line in the morning by the shed on the mainline
  14. Church Street, Kidderminster, perhaps the best street left in the town
  15. I see people have posted photos of a single coach and engine. Is this how these coaches were usually used or could they be added to any passing scheduled train?
  16. Actually that reminds me I've got a kit for one I'm store that has just been drastically reduced in value. I'd better get it on eBay!
  17. A one off special limited edition private owner wagon for a fictional Llangollen based coal merchant!
  18. Are the painted yellow windows, meant to have been plated over? In which case they need to be painted black from behind to prevent the light bleed.
  19. Anyone got a clue where I could get a spare set out of Hornby Hall valve gear. Seems to be out of stock with usual suspects?
  20. We'll just picked up a Star for £70 plus post
  21. I did a conversion of a castle to a star, but the problem with the Hall is the wheels are bigger on the Saint compared to the Hall
