  1. View Advert Dapol 4D-003-009 Class 52 BR Blue D1021 Western Cavalier, Full yellow ends, DCC Ready Here is a Dapol class 52 western in BR Blue with full yellow ends that no longer fits within my plans. Most of the detail parts have been added on the bufferbeams and solebar, the etched name and numberplates are still in the supplied bag and need to be fitted. The etched lifting eyes still need to be added they're also in the bag with replacement bufferbeam cowling and tension lock couplers. I've only ever ran it up and down a length of flexi track to see it running so could do with a good running in session. The only problem I can see with it is that one cab light doesn't seem to work but all the other lighting work as they should. I'm looking for £100 plus postage which will be special delivery with the insurance and tracking with Royal Mail. I can accept Paypal F&F but if the buyer prefers PayPal Goods & Services then they must agree to pay the relevant fees on the purchase price. As I do with all my sales once I have the funds cleared in my account the item is posted and I message the buyer with a copy of the proof of posting and the tracking number. Any questions then please message me Thank you Advertiser CovDriver Date 11/10/23 Price £100 Category OO / 4mm scale
  2. I was on the cross city this morning a delightful New St - Redditch - Four Oaks - New st then a PnB and New St - Lichfield City - New St. And I had the retro unit 221 with 220, I don't know why they've not accepted the middle roads at New St as they've all got the correct walking routes and the process for obtaining a block to use the walking routes has been agreed. I'm glad you went down to Redditch it was a bit slippy this morning when the mist came through. Cheers Colin
  3. As promised a couple of pics from the class 50 charter to Edinburgh. I was taken back to being a kid on a damp Saturday morning watching 50's depart New St, there is a video clip which I'll pop on YouTube later. Cheers Colin
  4. Firstly apologies for the lack o updates I feel that the thread is just full of the same type of shots and all pretty much the same stock hence the lack of updates. So heres something different here's a couple of pics the first one yesterday was a new class 730 on a test run heading towards Birmingham just passing Canley Station. And this mornings chariot from Northampton to New St 2Y09 0642 to New St. I'll try and upload a couple more asim hoping to catch a glimpse of 1Z50 the class 50 charter at New St. I've got a good guard so all being well I should run along side into New St. Cheers Colin
  5. A lovely air-conditioned view from my class 350 this morning... It's roughly the same sort of view from a 196/197 cab believe it or not the 196 window is slightly bigger. Cheers Colin
  6. Well it's day late for the update I mentioned, but here some pics for how the layout stands. Today I've mostly been putting the concrete fencing up and building a low relief factory unit between the row of houses and the bridge. I've not had the time to do a video as yet. As I've had one of the calls from work a bit like big Jim but mine was would I like to work Sunday and rest day working on Monday. And seen as SWMBO isn't back until Tuesday evening I thought why not. Anyway here's a couple of pics of the latest update. Cheers Colin
  7. Thinking about time on the railway it's 19yrs 2nd time around for me I was a storeman for Intercity westcoast at Preston and Carlisle and then New St in the mid 90's. And after a gap I held various roles such as dispatcher at New St then a guard at 2D Coventry and finally at the pointy end for the lat 8yrs also at 2D. Rugd 1022 as was at 2A did you know a Darrell Smith who was also at 2A he's now with us at Coventry part time and does also work part time for West Coast Railways. Cheers Colin
  8. 5yrs that's gone so quick and I've just past y 8th year in the seat I can't believe how quickly time is going. I had one of your former trainees with me on Tuesday road learning Northampton he spoke very highly of you. If I recall correctly his name was Tom. Cheers Colin
  9. Well my summer leave is over and I'm back into work tomorrow but it's only a short job. And as I was informed by SWMBO that they're returning to Wales tomorrow morning for another week away in the caravan I'm going to be home alone for a week (oh dear, How sad, Nevermind)😄. So the plan is to get some scenery work done and maybe a running session being filmed and uploaded to youtube as I've got a long weekend off at the end of the week. And potentially a visit to Making Tracks 3 in Chester on Friday. Cheers Colin
  10. I'm also away with the family for two weeks in the caravan in Porthmadog again, so may be a trip on the Welsh Highland again is in order. Have a great time with the family Jim. Cheers Colin
  11. Those pics are rare as that's Coventry (Kerseley) colliery
  12. Jeez you pass through Coventry more times than me and I'm based there. Cheers Colin
  13. I have a week of spare turns next week but allocated a few jobs, mostly the worst jobs of the depot. We have to sit by the phone in the messroom (as we normally say) "sitting like a coiled spring" waiting for the call. How does your spare turns work ? Is it a wait by the phone at home or at an agreed location. Cheers Colin
  14. View Advert Bachmann 32-733 Class 66 locomotive EWS Livery DCC sound &weathered Here we have a Bachmann class 66 in the EWS livery that's had bufferbeam detail added at one end (I can add a coupling bar if required) at the other end as I was part way through detailing it and I've decided to part with this as its way to modern for me now. It has a Hornby TTS sound decoder installed via a 21pin to 8pin socket, it's got a sugarcube speaker underneath the exhaust silencer. I can provide a video of it running with the sound on if required. The locomotive has been lightly weathered and renumbered from 66068 with Fox transfers to 66213. It just doesn't fit in with my plans for the future and I'd rather it go and be used by someone else rather than collecting dust. It's boxed but the box has has been a rip on the front other than that it's a perfect model and runs great at all speeds. I'm looking for £120 including postage which will be Royal mail signed for with tracking. I can accept PayPal F&F or if the buyer prefers G&S then the buyer must agree to pay the relevant fees. Any questions then please message me for any additional info. Advertiser CovDriver Date 27/06/23 Price £120 Category OO / 4mm scale
