The only thing I would query is whether Russells and Wrangham's advertising budget would stretch to such a far flung place as Farthing, where the hard working yard staff would no doubt prefer a pint of a more local brew than their famous (Infamous?) 'Malton Stout'.

Next !
I think that rather basic loco behind the test track needs detailing a bit...
-
With the right control panel and controller DC can be more satisfying, I run Greyscroft Mine DCC as this makes shunting the mine yard where there are 2 locos shuffling about so much easier, but I get more satisfaction running Felton Lane with DC with a well laid out control panel and a good quality controller, which is a H&M Walkabout, the regulator is set as the train leaves the FY and after that only the brake and reverse is used. Brilliant fun!

In reality gateposts should be as far in the ground as they are out, so a 4' high post would be 4' in the ground and more should be packed in the hole than was taken out, this is with the volume of the post added to it. Stones should be added to pack where the main forces are.
One little fault though, the diagonal brace on a wooden gate should be the other way, bottom crook (hinge) to the top by the snek.
Nice hedge.

Now if Jason were to extend 'Bacup', he could have something to rival this...
-
I trust the sprouts came off the sprue OK, I have found after they are removed a little trimming in an X pattern and they fit perfectly...
-
Already been done! laser cut, just need gluing to the battens and cutting from the fret, easy.
-
Just one issue, the A6 is actually an A7.

Keep a look out for International Paints Laminate Floor Reviver, I've tried a test ballasting and is the same type of stuff.

Wow! There's 4mm kits not as well detailed as this beauty.

It's hard to believe such a basic and straight forward wagon could be so complex!

Well it was good, now it's superb. Nice job Cap'n.

They would be marked further up the back for flock identification as well.
Bit of a description here. (Edit - in the photos, Blue Faced Leicester X Swaledale = Mule.)

Anyone bored yet?
No.
Are those etches as good as they look? they seem to fold up quite nicely, are you having to open the grooves up at all?
-
Absolutely superb, will you be leaving some loose/broken up bits in the 'hole'? they tend to gather all the cr*p.
-
Looks like you had a good time.
Have you heard about the time the K1 (second to last photo) fell over? a little further up the gradient to where it is in the photo (although I think the track has been realigned since), Brent shouted bellowed out of the box' "Open her up Bill, there's no one in front!", Bill did so and the loco ended up on it's right hand side in the ballast, a group of us rushed over, picked it up, cleaned the ballast out of the motion, Bill settled the fire back into the grate and away they went, didn't really slow him down though...

Looking good James, glad my own bit of messing about has helped.

Well, if it had a proper cast iron chimney instead of a lump of copper it wouldn't have melted...

Hi Chris, it's a bit noisy and a bit rough, weight may help this though. I've put a short video on the thread.

First plastic loco kit I've built!
(built loads of W/M and brass though)

Tim,
Setts - Set out in rows.
Cobbles - Cobbled together.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your kit building skills, you're making a lovely job of the whole project!
I just sprayed the wheels with a Humbrol Acrylic aerosol, not sure how blackening would go, it's good to know what the metal is first!

It can work the other way being in the house though...
"Frank, have you got a minute...'

Tony, get in touch with Jonathan Wealleans and he should be able to point you in the right direction.

My interpretation of a Pantechnicon van, the more regular style using the Shire Scenes kit, Fictitious livery and owner though.
