  1. Fascinating to see a GCR locomotive like this appear - my credit card is hiding mind... Now if someone would do some chuffing Robinson Carriages...
  2. This is a concerning issue. One trusts that this will be handled sensibly. I have Caley 812 on pre order and paid for. No e-mail yet frae Rails. Hmmmm...
  3. Shapeways appear to be a wee stroppy at the moment. As someone who has used your items a lot Guy, this is unfortunate. However, I understand totally your actions.
  4. Fantastic! The builder of that rake was a good friend of mine. Nice to know more of his stock is still entertaining people.
  5. A set of these, scratchbuilt mind, used to run on the auld Adavoyle layouts. Irish broad gauge to P4 standards - nice...
  6. Ah yes, where the sheep run around outside and the wind sweeps down frae the moors... Mind, that is rather excellent work.
  7. Yet more etched loveliness Ian, I shall flag interest immediately. Sympathies about the injury...
  8. When do us non EMGS members get a chance to purchase these beasties please? Long story and too tedious to retell...

    MRJ 282

An excellent edition, Morfa Bank Sidings especially. The J72 article is enlighting and the "pre-fab" house article brings back memories of being a wee boy - there used to be some not far from were my Nan lived.

    Very nice...
  11. I can remember this publication clearly. Mind, a very fine article on improving the auld Lima GUV was spread over #1 & #2 - the article coming frae David Goodwin. To my recollection, only the 4 made the market and it never seemed to get distributed very well. Try flea-bay, you may be lucky...
  12. My somewhat flippant remark has been interpreted correctly for a change... My BR blue period stock gets the P4 standards applied. Mind, it is handy being a member of a P4 group. Drop in wheels, very few connecting rods, fairly straightforward... The CLC/LMS/LNER derived stock is in EM. Why? Valve gear in P4 ! Clearances ! I wish to build and not tie myself in knots. I have friends who make exquisite models of steam locomotives in P4 but auld sausage fingers here? Believe me, I have endeavoured and been unsuccessful... You make your own choices, it's a hobby after all.
  13. Some more recent activities from darkest Cheshire... This is a Peco/Parkside RCH 5 plank mineral with bouncy Bill Bedford w-irons and other alterations. The spring-axlebox assemblies are the RCH ones frae Exactoscale - in a bit of madness I successfully attached them to the wheel bearings, mounted in the spring carriers. Working axleboxes in 4mm is getting a bit silly really...
  14. I have neglected this thread for a ridiculous amount of time. Time for some updating after much illness, sadness and general torpor. The above images show some BR fruit vans on the work bench; including one of the Frankenstein creations featuring LMS style suspension and LNER brake rigging. The underframe is pretty much scratch built frae a cornucopia of bits.
  15. Some just cannot help getting their trews off sadly... Keep the models coming, it's always nice to see another wagon nuts work.
  16. Bold, imaginative and quite bonkers... I love it!
  17. Well then... These will look nice behind a Class 37...
  18. No worries Wayne, I was merely checking. As it is, EM gauge track akin to your N gauge range is a very exciting development...
  19. Splendid stuff... This is a game changer methinks, especially if soldering irons give you the wibbles. How feasible is a frog cast for the P4 types?
