  1. About time - but can Worcester support 3 stations? Will Cross Country want to stop? And how about Abbotswood Junction's down loop - will that get truncated? Or perhaps a better option might be to install platform loops in both up and down directions on the B&G? Not so much pressure on the OWW! Phil
  2. Ok yes!!!! So is it change those - or the lights on a 42 which has the correct fan grilles? Oh but you have to do the zorsts as well...... Hmm - we want 861 too, will have to wait and see, if the fan grilles are etches might be an easy swap or replacement with Shawplan Phil
  3. Sounds a good bet Neil Have been working on Trevor at CMC to see if he would commission D838 Rapid MFYE as a limited edition to add to the variety - thought that would be the best bet as short name would make it easiest of the MFYEs to renumber - Pathfinder, Royal Oak and Spartan being the others. Phil
  4. Thank you John Will be having a chat with Mr Keen! As I would ideally like to have a few RBRs and FOs and Mainline/Replica are the only current options and we don't run fixed rakes then I need a solution that will align with Bachmann's pockets - cant afford to replace CCUs on 60+ coaches ! Cheers Phil
  5. Having just checked mine are on order from Rails since last April Account still shows original price will be interested to see what happens Phil
  6. Thanks John Does the Keen system have a NEM pocket and if so does it align with those on the Bachmann CCU? We have standardised on the Roco pattern Hornby close coupler and dont want to change them all!!! Cheers Phil
  7. Interesting.... Havent had one yet wonder if mine is still to come or whether it is order date dependant? How long ago did you order yours Mike? Phil
  8. How about this one Rick? https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8074/8346110826_e574803d8b_z.jpg Phil
  9. Mr TV says not Peter - cant find a picture of her in 1969 at the moment though.... Phil
  10. I nearly posted a wish earlier for Mr Tiger Viking to come along and add his sixpennyworth Despite not being on here for a while he happened to drop in on this thread and guess what - he has a copy of the slide, has blown it up on screen and had already come to the opinion it was D854! The evidence is building perhaps? Phil
  11. Back from Monmouth! Neil has very kindly sent a high res scan of the D856 picture and I refer you back to post 150 above m'lud! Is that a data panel? What do Mark and Martin's records show D854 as working that weekend Neil? Cheers Phil Edited to remove incorrect link
  12. Smashing Neil! One problem - you have identified all the locos, what are we going to do all day??? Only kidding - off to Monmouth show via Pontypridd and Cardiff, have a good day! Phil
  13. Only have the WTT for my area but has the following: 1V53 21.55 SuO/21.50 WO Newcastle to NA - would arrive the following day of course! 1V53 21.50 FO Newcastle to NA - would arrive the following day of course! 1V54 20.00 M/ThO Edinburgh to NA - ditto 1V43 00.05 SO Sutton Coldfield to NA - would arrive Sat No help with arrival times am afraid! Departing NA 1S39 20.50 WO/FO to Edinburgh 1E36 20.50 M/Th/SO to Newcastle 1M49 13.40 SO to Sutton Coldfield Think those workings balance - WTT is confusing as two entries for trains when they are within scope before and after midnight! Cheers Phil
  14. First coach behind D837 at Malvern Link Pixie - must have been later as I didn't start spotting until Sept 67 and the local treasures at Worcester were unknown to me until that half term - would have been the end of October 67 at the earliest but I suspect more likely spring 68 but date isn't recorded unfortunately. Distinctly remembered as someone with keen eyesight spotted it from Railway Walk far away in the sidings by Wylds Lane - suspect the extra journey to cop it made us late back to school that day but no memory of detention! And by February 69 D6342 was stored in the shed at Worcester! DO you have any gen on such a working please? Cheers Phil
  15. There are some other sightings of 22s in Worcestershire at http://www.miac.org.uk/class22.html And D6331 - and D6320 - still pass through Abbotswood Junction, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgUTdd7XwyY, 7.20 onwards Not convinced she met D5901 however! Phil
  16. Midland runabout? Now you are talking!!! Had great fun with those, largely in the Derby/Leicester/Nottingham area as had copped most WR power by then. And of course the ticket didn't cover the through trip to Crewe.......!!! D6331 was through Abbotswood on 20th June heading south on a PW train hence my specific date - the only other one I saw working at Worcester was D6342 on a saloon, but as D6331 and D6320 were the Gloucester trip locos that summer - that's the correct headcode D6331 is showing - then perhaps visits were a bit more frequent. Cheers Phil
  17. Hadnt clocked that - never looked past the motive power! Is that an FK? Phil
  18. Thanks Robert - that's why 833 was dismissed as an option, the loco in question clearly has raised NBL pattern fan grilles She plainly liked posing - here she is at Worcester http://www.miac.org.uk/class42.html#brd833 And following on from Pixie's post theres the other criminal - D861 - on the same page Cheers Phil
  19. Peter how stupid of me - I had seen the shot in a modelling book but hadn't connected your name! Was that 20th June 1970 perchance? Phil
  20. That's amazing - and all fits together! The only potential fly in the ointment is storage records are a mare - for example D6331 is listed as stored from 1969 when it was working off 85B and acquired a FYE - but I suspect that holes in the Warship records are much less likely Cheers Phil Many thanks Neil Phil
  21. Agreed - and the period surely has to be between May and September - summer timetable - due to the motorails presence The Stirling - Newton Abbot ran alternate days IIRC with two rakes - one of flats, alternate days the Newton-Chambers double deckers we have here Phil
  22. Has anyone looked at putting these bodies on to modern Bachmann Chassis to get the close coupling mechanisms? Phil
  23. Yup! Can we take it any further than that? The loco liveries plus the presence of the motorails mean its got to be in the duration of the summer timetable 1969, choose 1 loco from 4...although is that a data panel above the number? Phil
  24. Sorry Peter - fat fingered typo - meant 833! Original post edited Cheers Phil
