RIP my beloved Parkray back boiler. Withdrawn yesterday with a cracked and leaking boiler it has steamed for the last time. Now, whether to replace it like for like or find something completely different to replace it. Chuffin expensive whatever I choose especially as there's no mains gas nearby.

Nice day today..Warley, sat with Steve Hewitt and talked signals, sat and learnt how to use a resistance soldering iron, did a bit of rivet punching on Jamie's gGreen Ayre stand, picked up some commisioned signal gantry etches and managed to escape without wounding the bank balance too badly. Got home to find my Locomotion L&Y radial tank had been delivered. Only spoiler was not making it to 'spoons for a pint with some RMWebbers coz of having to dash back for nightshift...

just posted my 1000th RMW message...and it's nothing to do with model railways. Slightly dull?

Well. I'm at work at Chester PSB, Hooton SB has already closed and the new panel is now undergoing final testing. End of an era, no more modelling at Chester PSB....probably.

Phew..my "not feeling right well really" last sunday turned in to a nasty bout of campylo...thingy. Not nice. Lost half a stone in a week. OK now tho'

"doesn't feel right well really"..wish I was at home instead of stuck in here on a 12 hour day shift. Yed and belly warch..
-
has to realise, how ever many signals people want building, a bit more than 4 hours sleep may be necessary between 12 hour night shifts...yawn...zzzzzzzz

4 days in with the Statins break. Less muscle/joint pains, sleeping better, less lifeless. Even feeling a bit stronger. They can't be that bad surely?

Jag x-type now sold...phew.!
-
is just about to endure the depressing process of trying to sell a jag xtype 2.1 petrol on ebay. Price will probably be in pence rather than pounds....sob..

Thought I'd made a complete blx of a nearly complete model signal last. Guess who tested his LEDs with 9v instead of 3v? Thought I'd damaged the internal wiring until I realised I hadn't soldered my usual 1k resistor in line. Cue small pop/crackle noise, much swearing and a very delicate operation of LED swapping..Wot a pil****.

is rather hoping the new Dr Who brings a bit (a lot) of Malcolm Tucker to the scripts...
-
has just realised Telford GOG "do" is only about 6 weeks away....so many signals to build so little time. Digit removal time me thinks....
