  6. Good morning, Thank you to all those involved in organising The Great Electric Train Show last weekend, this was the first show that we had attended for over 18 months and it was great to be back. Certainly to us it felt busy and good to see the hobby starting to return to some sort of normality. Meeting people face to face and talking about modelling made you realise just how much we have missed shows. Thank you to everyone that took the time to visit our stand and say hello. We had a very enjoyable weekend.
  7. Thank you Mike for letting us run a few PGAs on your layout, I am not entirely sure what the working was passing through Oak Road but it looked very good behind the two 37s!! The Class 56 looked right at home, dare I say the first of many..... Good to see you, Ian and Rhys. Hope you had a good weekend.
  8. Good morning Eric, it was nice to meet you too, thanks for the photos of Harefield . We are very pleased that you like the KBA barrier wagons. I was a little worried that we would never see it again.....
  9. Two quick Bardon teasers ahead of this weekend at GETS - please come and say hello and have a look at the simply stunning underframe on the first EP samples of our Bardon PHA/JGA hoppers.
  10. A quick teaser from us ahead of GETS this weekend - please come and say hello and have a look at the variations in design on our 3D printed class 56. We’re really excited to be back at shows after a long break!
  11. Photo courtesy Phil Grain The first Engineering Prototype samples of our PHA/JGA bogie hopper wagons have arrived and these will be on display at The Great Electric Train Show this weekend. If you are attending the show then please visit our stand to view the samples and say hello.
  12. Good afternoon IRC, The model has been designed to run with third radius curves, however, it may negotiate second radius curves, but we cannot confirm that yet. There is a wealth of detail on the bogies and underframe which potentially could snag whilst operating on second radius curves. This is something we can advise on in the future once the first samples have been tested.
  13. Good morning Jools1959, The nameplates will be supplied in the box as a separate item. Just for information, we also do not plan to print the nameplates on either. Hope that helps.
  14. Cavalex DCR Class 56 - we are pleased to announce DCR 56091 “Driver Wayne Gaskell” as a part of the Cavalex Class 56 range. We are really excited to be able to offer modellers and enthusiasts with an interest in today’s freight scene a model of 56091 in DC Rail livery. Our thanks to DC Rail for their help and for working with us to produce this model. Features of Cavalex DCR 56091: - Distinctive fabricated cab shape - Cutaway buffer beam - Diamond mesh side grilles, cantrail grilles and roof grille - Steel cab and cab side window frames - Additional air conditioning vent on the second man’s side - Etched “Driver Wayne Gaskell” name plates CM - 56091 – DCR
  15. Good evening JR_P, thank you for your message and feedback. We are glad to hear that you are pleased to see our N PGA project move forward. Regarding the protection panels, the configuration that you mention, protection panels with ladders and walkways, in Lafarge livery did not seem that popular a choice when we previously offered the PGA in N. What we are currently offering is the most common configuration for that livery, ladders and walkways but without protection panels. Whilst some examples did continue with protection panels fitted in this particular livery, from research conducted it seems that more ran without the protection panels. This is why we are offering this particular configuration to cover the more common wagon configuration. Here are a few links to Flickr which I thought might be useful: 14828 kept the protection panels: We will certainly discuss the protection panels and the Lafarge livery with Rails of Sheffield as a suggestion for future production runs. Many Thanks.
  16. Thanks Mike. Yes you are correct, Lafarge, white with patch and then plain white. Thanks again to you and Ben for your support. It is much appreciated.
  17. Good evening Jon, Thanks for your post and email. Hopefully you have now received the email. Please do get in contact if you need anything else.
  18. TEA project update: We have contacted all customers regarding the second payments for our forthcoming TEA wagons ahead of production starting next month. If you have not heard from us or have any questions please let us know. We are still open for new pre-orders via our website below, however this will close once production commences, with our retailers stocking the TEAs when they arrive in the UK. https://www.cavalexmodels.com/shop
  19. Thank you Chris, we are also very excited about the second run, especially the new liveries. Feedback has been fed back to the factory and production is well underway. Unfortunately, we cannot say for certain when they will be here, however, once production has been completed, we will provide a further update and estimated delivery. This is all dependant on the factory, Covid and shipping. Hope that helps.
  20. Thank you Tom. The wagons are 215mm over buffers. Hope that helps. Please let me know if you need any additional information.
  21. We have received painted samples of the three new liveries being produced in our second run of our BBA wagons. Please visit our website on the link below for the full showcase of the samples: https://www.cavalexmodels.com/bba-2nd-run-painted-samples
  22. Not the best quality, apologies I cannot find a higher res version, of 60084 at Hatfield and Stainforth in 2008 with a loaded working from Scunthorpe.
  23. Always nice to see a 60 on the Lakenby to Scunthorpe steel workings. Not my photo but a great shot by Jim Dowsett on Flickr.
  24. New BBA/BLA painted samples have arrived for evaluation, including EWS, Bauxite and Metals examples. Full update coming soon.
  25. Good afternoon Dungrange, thank you for your post and comments. There will be four different weathered versions of our TEA, the example that you mention will have a heavier weathering finish. This is to offer some variety and try to replicate the weathering similar to those in the links below: Please note that each side of the wagon will be different. The other three weathered versions will be different with similar weathering to the KBA wagons. I hope that helps.
