  1. Sybic one you say? It appears I didn’t take a picture after it got the etched bits 😂
  2. Nice. Really suits it. I’m trying to decide whether to reinstate the bodyside window and relocated the orange stripe or not 😂😂😂
  3. Firstly well done on supporting such a great cause, but it looks like you’ve repeated the Hattons error with 66623 in using the lighter shade of orange as only featured on 66413 in real life. I’m hoping it’s just a trick of the light in the pics. It should be broadly the same as 37405. If the Bachmann 90s are whizzing around making tracks today they are the correct shade. Fingers crossed it’s just me 😂
  4. And then most of them became frothy 37/4s in Scotland, 37305 becoming 37407.
  5. Strathclyde PTE / Loadhaul orange is the same shade I believe.
  6. Looking great. Re the marker dots, I use black permanent markers, with no lenses in place and run the pen round the inside. Usually does a neat job. Any residue can be scraped off with a cocktail stick.
  7. You forgot 37031 as well… sure there are others that I’ve forgot too 😂
  8. Looking good. Are you going to attempt the reinforced windows?
  9. Looking good. At least you’ve no excuse to do 3D printed noses for the new model now 😜😜😜
  10. I managed to fit the detailing parts very easily to all 5 I’ve had so far. Echo what others have said about them nesting nicely in the holes with no drilling required. I left the bufferbeams in place but just carefully pulled out the buffers from their housing. That way I was able to change the buffers on 402 as well so they’re the right way round. Prototypical weathering completed from reference photos.
  11. Mad isn’t it. Almost 20 years since the EWS 37/4s finished on the sleeper, to keep it vaguely on topic 😂
  12. What do you mean by the original EWS red? The colour didn’t change, it always looked very different on film back in the day. I remember seeing 419 for the first time and was surprised how dark it was 😂
  13. Can confirm they’re in properly. Just a trick of the light I guess.
  14. Here are some pics of my weathered first batch 37/4’s. Post RHTT bodysides clean is the look I was going for, in other words how they are now. Of course 419 now has different names and shiny red bufferbeams so maybe that will be the next variation 😂
  15. Not up to @Daddyman standards but here is my latest take on 37801. Already did it RF style, thought an EWS one was required. Full repaint of modifications as per the real thing in and around 1994.
  16. My goodness that is off the scale fabulous. Well done. Also glad to hear that you share my niggles about roof weathering. I’m fact weathering in general, and the clean (faded) bodysides instead of the approach that some take where dirt is just clarted all over them. Great inspiration for everyone here.
  17. I too have just ordered 92042… but for another purpose 😂
  18. I think it’s also linked to the traffic they could work self contained without a traction change but others better placed would know more. Their regular working - coming south as 4M25 - got merged with the other one - 4M30 - which was lengthened and moved to run overnight to allow them to haul it with a 66 without it getting in the way of passenger traffic. Sad times indeed.
  19. Think the 90s are doomed alas Kat. Word is 39 is going out of service after its jaunt tomorrow. Might it be back to the future with 92s back on freight work? Time will tell. Apparently 92009 is next for resurrection.
  20. Me again Fran. 44 and 32 are GBRf machines, but it seems they only put the new lights on the Sleeper/Dellner fitted ones. A
  21. Hi Fran, I don’t think that 92044 or 92032 got the upgraded lights that the sleeper fleet got, although happy to be corrected. Cheers, Andi.
