  1. Yes, that's about a 100's times furture than I have got.
  2. The scaling of the map was one issue, I couldn't get it to match the track size, and layout direction was the other. Yep, right line in both cases being the Cheddar Strawberry line. Don't think I am mad enough to do Yatton, multi track mainline and two opposite diverging branchlines.
  3. I am not on there. I did the download, but the scaling wouldn't match and the map was top to bottom, rather that side to side like the track wants to.
  4. Hi is there anyone who might be able to draw me a plan using templot, I am don't know what I am doing wrong but I can't get the map background to work properly and having issues trying to draw. I am looking for an N scale version of this, maybe with a bit of foreshortening of the diverging lines.
  5. I found this link last night as I was looking for things https://heritagemachines.com/commercials/clay-from-the-cornish-ports/ not sure if you have seen it, makes me a bit homesick seeing the trucks in the blue and white scheme I remember.
  6. Slightly off track, My family has a small connection with ECC. One of my family was the transport manager for Heavy transport, my nan worked at John Keay house, the family haulage company was bought at the very start of the heavy haulage business as they wanted the experience and knowledge. A couple of pictures of two of the trucks and where the workshops used to be in an old dryer.
  7. Looking great, you have got the look and feel of the line.

  11. You could always strip out one of those micro radio controlled cars that seem to be about. They should be able to be squeezed into a 4mm model tractor.
  12. Nice bridge, I've been over and under it more times than I care to remember. Looking great.
  13. Yeah, good to see some of the HSB stuff turning up in more main stream producers. Now we just need a few nice 2-10-2's
  14. Glad to see you back Steve, keep up the good work even if you don't post very often, it is always great to read what you have been upto.
  15. Hi 2mm Fans, My question is: Where do you get detailing parts from for locomotives, I need a source for everything from chimneys to buffers, safety valves etc for GWR loco's

  20. Good to see you back . Looks like you did a lot of researching .
  21. Don't give up. I'm just trying to work the baseboard design out for mine and I really do need to move house to build it I think it will have to be in stages. And I know what you mean about joints. The 1's on my current layout are bugging me.
  22. Steve, From what I have been reading these last few weeks as reference for my idea You would find that the 57xx would be able to run on the line even if it's Blue dotted, BUT it would be restricted to a maximum speed of 25MPH. I know that the Strawberry Line was Dotted Blue and have read that there was a Manor class brought through to test the new turntable at Wells and that there is a picture of a 9400 class which is 'RED' dotted on the line . The other thing is that the maximum axle load on the front two alxes is only 17t 0c. Hope this helps.
