  1. These do look very good! Anyone know if the headlight versions and later liveries like Network SouthEast are planned? Cheers Tom
  2. Hi Ben, Were you make any of the changes I set out to get the 56 looking more like a 56 before the CAD was signed off? Cheers Tom
  3. I saw it on FB where it mentioned it was a first draft of the CAD and invited feedback so trying to help them. It does seem strange if they've finished it already bearing in mind they only posted it a few weeks back. CAD can accidentally go awry sometimes so best to shout whilst they've got time to address the issues though Cheers Tom
  4. Hi Ben, Brian and team Heljan, thanks for sharing the 56 CAD recently. It looks like with a little more time spent you’ll be on the road to a top model. I’ve pulled together a list of core issues with the model CAD that can help you correct it. I know how time consuming and difficult it can be to make things right on CAD so hope this fresh view helps you correct the artwork so you can bring a decent model to market. I know lots of us are really excited by this model and want to support you bring out a great model of the 56 HJ 56 recommendations final pdf.pdf Cheers Tom
  5. Hi everyone, It's only a couple of weeks until DEMU Showcase 2019 (1 & 2 June) so here's a preview. In T scale the 3D printed layout 'The Bridge' recreates the entire famous Forth Bridge. Moving up to N scale is Horseblock Lane, which takes you back to the colourful West Midlands railways in the Naughties. Photo credited to Paul Bason 4mm Parrot Hall recreates late 1980s NW England. The large 7mm Dalnottar Riverside layout is your time machine to 1970s Scottish operations. See you there.
  6. It was dumped in a field in Yorkshire a few years back Fezza. I put a pic of it on page 17 of this thread http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/81887-Hornby-mk2e-coaches/page-17&do=findComment&comment=1765773 Cheers Tom

  8. Hi everyone, just under a week to go and the time leading annual D&E exhibition brings you a wealth of diesel and electric models. Coming to the DEMU Showcase exhibition on Sat 2 & Sun 3rd June at Burton on Trent town hall is this evocative West Midlands P4 layout - Fryers Lane. A perfect time machine to transport you back to memories of the late 1980s and early 1990s in and around Bloxwich. Come and take a look! http://www.demu.org.uk/showcase/showcase-2018
  9. 2 weeks to go to enjoying the UK's premier show devoted to diesel and electric modelling. You'll be able to see everything from current day representations to the beginning of diesels, such as the fantastic Friday Bridge 4mm layout set in 1960s East Anglia. Cheers Tom
  10. Only a few weeks to go until Showcase 2018 in Burton-upon-Trent town hall on June 2nd and 3rd. Another fine N scale layout covering the last 20 years of rail privatisation at the show is Stapleforth St. Stephens. Come and see! Cheers Tom
  11. Putting in an appearance is one of the most finely detailed N2 scale layouts in recent times - Burton on Trent set in the 1990s. So come and see Burton on Trent at the DEMU Showcase exhibition in Burton on Trent town hall on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June 2018.
  12. Coming to Showcase 2018 are some of the best D&E modelling around. At Burton upon Trent town hall Sat 2nd and Sun 3rd June you'll be able to get up close to Mick Bryan's Deadman's Lane which is based on the rail technical centre in Derby. If you like specialist models, Network Rail yellow and Serco liveries, this is must see! Tom
  13. Thanks for the pointers and info everyone. Very grateful Are LMS scenary vans produced by anyone? Cheers Tom
  14. Hi, Calling all LNWR specialists - I'm after a 7mm LNWR coach kit of a rather unusual model. I've had a search online but haven't come across anything along the lines of this particular carriage: I understand that it's based on LNWR dining car built in 1890. Anyone know of anything out there kit wise? I guess it's unlikely that there will be an exact kit, but anything similar with the same roof and side profiles would be great for me to hack around and turn into the model. Thanks Tom
  15. Do you know anymore about the sausage coaches Jon? I've gone a quick google but doesn't seem to be much about them - did they have a formal type or classification series? Cheers Tom
