  1. Don't forget that, as well as the O gauge layouts and trade support, there's a full range of full size Diesel & Electric locos on site this weekend too! Locomotive Services Limited will kindly be supporting the show by supplying part of their heritage traction fleet for display - currently this is intended to be 20118 and 20132 in their freshly repainted Railfreight Red Stripe guise. Locomotives and Units on site include 03073 20118* 20132* 37108 43018 43081 87035 90050 91120 Class 370 APT
  2. Thanks to LSL and DRS, 47712, 37401 and 88001 will be on display as part of the Modern Image O Gauge Model show this weekend. Tickets are £10 on the door and include access to the full Crewe Heritage Centre site and model show. More info here: https://www.modernimageogauge.co.uk/exh ... -2023.html
  3. It is, they relocated a couple of years(?) back.
  4. Have you contacted them directly?
  5. Thanks Alex, I've found it but it appears to be a 21 pin, whereas on the Locoman website it says 8 pin and speaker cables. Sorry if I'm being thick! :-) what is best to buy if I'm looking for a decoder to hardwire a loco that draws max 1 amp, has wires for hard wiring and speaker wires? Thanks Dave
  6. Thanks, one further question if I may! The SD22A-2 8-Pin decoder doesn't appear to be covered in the manual - is this suitable for hardwiring IE separate wires on the 8 pin adapter and pre-fitted speaker cables? Thanks, Dave
  7. Do these projects (and D&H decoders in general) have an auto adjust BEMF function similar to CV54 on an ESU decoder?

    New hst

Is it not just the amendments to the tooling for the Pullman HST headlight rather than a totally new model?
  9. It's definitely not a car from the IoM.
  10. You'll probably find a Combi is underpowered for Heljan's twin-motored O gauge locos, split gear or not.
  11. Whilst they're a relatively new name they're not the most hidden. Check out this section on this very forum https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/forum/331-accurascale-irish-railway-models/
  12. I doubt its the gear issue as this mainly affects older Heljan locos and hasn't really been present in their newer toolings. I've had no gear issues with the 25s. Have a look inside and see if the driveshafts have come out. They should just clip back into place.
  13. Jamie Goodman's chip is an unrefurbished 37/0. The Legoman "Wensleydale 37/4" chip is recorded from 37674 (which is a 37/5) and is ideal for 37/4s, 37/5s and 37/7s. 37/4s have the higher speed tickover when supplying ETH to the train, otherwise theres no sound difference between 37/4, 37/5 and 37/7. None of the sound projects I've had are specific enough to have this higher tickover included although its possible to simulate it with DriveHold. Most suppliers list their 'refurbished' sound projects as 37/4s but they're suitable for all refurbished 37s from 37401 to 37899. No connection, just a satisfied guy with a lot of sound fitted 37/4s and 37/5s and experience of the real things to tell the difference :-)
  14. Hi guys, have tried it with both short (3) and long (8709) addresses with no success. I've not used 8709 on the set before. I've also tried the decoder on a Lokprogrammer / ESU decoder tester with no issues, so it's pointing towards the Lenz set being at fault here? Dave
  15. I've put a Loksound V5 (58419) in a Dapol O gauge 08 fitted with an Olivias Trains sound project. On my Lenz set, this doesn't respond to any controls, although all the lights are constantly illuminated. On my powercab the loco works absolutely as it should (sound, lights, changing CVs etc). My Lenz set has the latest firmware (as far as I'm aware) and operates locos fitted with Loksound V4 XL, V5XL, Zimo and Hornby TTS sound decoders with no issues. Has anyone encountered similar and found a solution (or something to try?) Thanks, Dave

    Dapol 08

Different batches have different product codes. The brass bush was only present on the first batch (codes 7D-008-001 to 006. The second releases were the original body style but amended chassis (007 to 012) and the most recent batch is the later body style (013 to 017)
  17. THanks Locoman, I was looking at putting it in a Heljan 37 so I might not take the risk now but will keep an eye out for a large scale decoder :-)
  18. Are the D+H decoders available for larger scale locos too, such as Heljan's O gauge items? I'm interested in trying the 37 sound in a Heljan loco but doubt the OO gauge locos available will cope with the current draw? Dave
  19. Maybe this? It's not an A4 but the only event of this kind I can think of - certainly can't think of an A4 doing it but willing to be proven wrong :-) Dave
  20. Hi Michael, is there any news on the single car Derby Lightweight kit? Would be very interested in a model of Iris :-) Dave
  21. That's more than enough to get started on, thanks for the info! Dave
  22. Good afternoon, I'm currently converting a number of O gauge brake vans into their 1995 identities for use on flask trains but can't find an identity for this Railfreight grey and red van which seems to be a regular on the Trawsfynydd workings at the time.... I've got the later liveried vehicles pretty much down to a tee but any gen on this example (examples?) would be hugely appreciated :-) (some of the photos show the number but not quite clearly enough!) Dave
  23. As there was nothing physical shown for the LLC 50 it can't really be stated which was better or worse?
  24. Sample on show at Doncaster show today
