Now I don't want to be pedantic (OK OK I am!) but it is unlikely that a cart would be left like that. 1) once you had un-hitched the horse how did it get out? 2) what is the point of putting the shafts undercover and leaving the body out in the rain, not that it rains in LM. A cart like that if outside would be left tipped up on the two bits of wood sticking out the back, that's what they are there for. It then means when you want to hitch up you back your horse in between the the upright shafts and then pull them down and fit the chains and rest of the harness. Sorry I'll trot off now! 😀 Nice scene though.

That barrow will get full of water and rust out unless it is wooden in which case it will rot. Needs standing on end. Sorry just realised it never rains in LM! 😃

Because some idiot invented mobile phones? I had the 'pleasure' of visiting a number of construction sites in my capacity as an Internal Verifier for a training company and the amount of time lost by people on their phones was incredible. No one seemed bothered so no wonder construction costs are what they are.

They do indeed but when I went for mine it broke down! Thought it had when I saw the nurse unplugging it and then plugging it in again several times. ☹️

I once (note once) had fish head soup when working in Nigeria. Wasn't keen on the eyes looking at me as the head bobbed about! 🤢

It is worth remembering that the inter war period was a time of recession/depression in British Agriculture. It wasn't until the end of the 1930s with war looking again possible that the need to increase food production became an issue (nothing changes there then!). Years of neglect to farm buildings and the land in general started to be addressed.
