  1. Good evening all, I thought I'd call in to answer a few questions. As a side note the ECT pages will be taken over by another staff member as I leave the company officially on the 1st. I haven't access to the direct information so I am going off what I know to be correct from last being in the office. The three late Crest models will carry allocations as follows: 90755 - shed code tbc via someone in the office (This has been confirmed but I can not access the info and it is not stared on BR database) 90763 - 12A 90767 - 66B March was an initial "allocation" for the class until over haul. Once the locomotive’s had been refurbished they pretty much went directly to Scotland. I have no solid evidence any of the class were allocated in active service "down south" other than running in turns out of Eastleigh. 90773 and 90775 for Rails will be done in early 1950s condition just prior to the removal of their nameplates. This choice allowed them to add more verity of liveries to the range. With that 90774 certainly was a Grangemouth engine (65F) until the end and I suspect the allocation notes have been moxed up with the SLS notes which have 774 as a Wellington engine in the early 50s. Hope this helps to clear any confusion up? I will try and pop in as and when while Ellis finds someone to take over
  2. Thank you Steve, we are really proud of these models so far.
  3. Hello all, As promised here are initial images of the first Quad Art set engineering prototype
  4. This image of Vera supplied by Ian Foot shows the condition we will be producing our model of the engine. I hope this helps?
  5. We had a nice display board to show some of the fine detail parts, I will get these photographed tomorrow so you can all see some of the separate details. Any of the Early Crest models (not including C1005Z 90775) would be perfect for you in 1958. You may just be able to get away with a Late Crest but this would be very close on your chosen year.
  6. Sorry for the delayed reply, feedback and comments have been somewhat overwhelming but humbling and we are trying to work through and reply to everyone. You are correct, the different last number rather than addition of a letter means I feature change. In this case you are also spot on 90772 C1004 features a Westinghouse pump were as C1003 90751 has the air gear removed. I have no concrete date on the removal of the air gear from 90751 but it was re allocated in 1958 so I would guess around this time as there are images of 90751 in 1962 with the gear removed. I am sure some one on here will have the info when or if the pump was removed and where. I will however keep digging and if I do find out I will share the info on here
  7. Our WD 2-10-0 3D Printed Pre-Engineering Sample : Many of you had the chance to see our Pre-Engineering Sample whilst at Warley Model Railway Club & Exhibition but for those of you who are yet to see it, here it is! We'd like to remind people that a 3D print doesn't represent the full quality of the model and that our renders provide a more accurate look at the detail that will be found on the final model. Pre-order with no upfront charges now available on the Clark Railworks Website. www.clarkrailworks.com
  8. That unfortunately is a typo and has since been amended (ironically 2 minutes ago🤦‍♂️) It is intended to read £375 Each when buying 3+
  9. We are still in the early stages of finalising the DCC sound aspect of this project. We have arranged with the M&GN society to sound record 90775 once she returns to traffic. Once this is completed the final speaker fit out will be tailored to get the best from the project to recreate the locomotives a well as possible. I appreciate details on this are vague at best at the moment but as it progresses we will be keeping you all informed, we have worked hard to get the best from our 7mm Black 5 project and the WD will receive the same close attention too.
  10. Hi Steve, Once the dust has settled this from the weekend I will post a few images up here for you.
  11. Good evening Brian, When we are back from Warley we will be doing some videos and images of the Quads in use. The full set only landed yesterday so you have beaten me to it but I will make sure we have a video mid next week to show their brilliant design at work. Chris
  12. Good evening Ian we will be showing more information on this in the coming weeks. Essentially there will be a nice hi quality speaker placed below the chimney in a custom surround to make the best of the space. The project is awaiting the return of 90775 to traffic and like out 7mm Black 5 will be an entirely bespoke project
  13. We originally considered having the smoke box door removable, however our CAD engineer Nikki was not keen on the risk of gapping between the door and smoke box. With this she decided to place the chip between the cylinders for neat and easy access. There is small connector between the loco and tender for pick-ups. All tender wheels have pick-ups fitted as do the locomotive drivers I think it is worth mentioning as we may have not covered it in the initial spec that every DC model will be pre fitted with a speaker to save any hassle of opening up the model
  14. Hi Butler, We did consider placing the DCC socket in the tender but a few complications soon appeared with this solution, The first being the unsightly large electrical connector required between the locomotive and tender, feeding that required amount of wires would in our opinion detract from a super detailed model Also as modellers prefer to fill the coal space with a real coal load and secure it using diluted PVA or Super glue we wanted to avoid this causing any issues with the electrical system. Hope this helps? Kind regards, Chris
  15. Good afternoon all, For those of you joining us at Warley, you'll be able to get an exclusive first look at our latest Quad Art engineering samples! Come and say hello on the stand over the weekend - see you there. Chris
