  1. Thanks Ron. Edit. Is there any other booster I could use ? Tony.
  2. Hello Everyone. I have a spare CS02 Command Station. Can I turn the CS02 into a 5amp Power Pro system by adding a 5 amp booster & if so what booster should I get ? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Regards. Tony.
  3. I was reading through this thread today & I was wondering did you ever get sorted with a system ? Tony.
  4. Nothing strange about it at all. The database has a value which Hattons have sold to ROS. Hattons have ceased trading so they have no further need for it. They simply liquidated an asset.
  5. It's a pity a model with pre installed sound wasn't available.
  6. What's the most suitable sound decoder with stay alive to fit to this model ?

    LMS 10000

Thanks for that. I'll take a look. EDIT I took a look at the FOX product & it is expensive just for one L. I made an L from thin plasticard & when i painted it a metallic silver it looks fine. No one will be putting it under a magnifying glass. If it was one of the other letters then that would have been a different matter. I'll keep the FOX product in mind in case I lose another letter.

    LMS 10000

I did a search on here & posted in the latest LMS Twins thread I could find. I did find a Hattons/ Dapol Twins thread but the last post was in 2011. I'll search again.

    LMS 10000

I've lost the L from one side of my LMS version. Anyone know where I might possibly get lettering for these models ? I know it's probably a shot in the dark but I thought I'd ask anyway ? Thanks.
  11. Update on this. On chatting to Greg at Kernow I followed the suggestions of Greg & Kaput above. The settings suggested seem spot on. I fitted the Lenz decoder & am testing it on a rolling road. The settings suggested seem to work wonderfully well, Thank you. I won't mention those door handrails which seemed to be glued in & well, awful to work with. I can see modellers having a lot of trouble with these. Here's hoping I never have to go in there again. Not a good design at all. Anyway a lovely model despite the design of those handrails. Well done to Kernow. Regards. Tony.
  12. Thanks Kaput. I'll try those settings. If anyone else has any ideas on CV settings please post a comment. Thanks. Tony.
  13. Hi Everyone. I've just got a Kernow GWR Steam Railmotor & plan to fit a Lenz Silver +Plus X22 decoder in it. Can anyone tell me what CV I should change to match the coreless motor fitted in the railmotor & the value I need to put in the CV ? I think it's CV 50 but I'm really not sure ? Thanks everyone. Tony.
  14. I think the Rails connect decoders are DccConcepts rebadged.
  15. Rails Connect Ros-218. 6 Function. Maybe there's a cv I need to change ?
  16. Question for anyone running one of these on DCC ? I can switch on the headlights but I can't switch on the cab lights from my NCE Power Cab. Anyone have this problem ? I can switch the cab lights on & off with the wand but not from the handset ?
  17. How could you get banned from a model railway exhibition ?
  18. I bought one of these months ago. I did the usual running in on a rolling road & it seemed fine. I got a stock of decoders from Rails during the week so today I decided to fit one to the A5. I had a tough job trying to get the body off. The front was free enough but the rear end just wouldn't slide out. I was concerned that I was going to break the thing. I was just about to put it back in the display cabinet when suddenly it decided to surrender. I fitted the decoder, gave it the cab address & its running away now on the rolling road. Strangely enough the body went back on without a murmur ? Lovely looking loco.
  19. I can remember back in the day when burning off / scraping old pre 60's paint you were advised to wear a mask because of the lead content of such paints.
  20. Remember its oil based paint we're talking about here. Over time oil based paint will lighten. This is known as fading or lightening. Also remember that these paints would have been hand made according to colour recipes in the various paint shops. So there would be variations even when vehicles were painted brand new.
  21. Rather sad email to get 🙄 In any case I'm not interested.
  22. No matter what I tried I couldn't get Rocrail to work with either my Nce Usb adaptor or my Power Pro System. I have no problem connecting either of the above to JMRI so I'm just going to let Rocrail go & move on. Regards. Tony.
  23. I've been there. I tried the settings in the picture but couldn't get it to work but I will try again. Tony.
  24. Sorry Nigel perhaps I didn't make myself clear. What I said was NCE Usb adaptor or Power Pro system ? My mistake. I'm using the NCE Usb adaptor for my Power Cab but I have the Keyspan Serial adaptor for my Power Pro System. Both work well with JMRI. I want to try out Rocrail on both to see if i like it. Regards. Tony.
  25. Honesty is always best Iain. That's the end of ITrain with me so. I have Jmri working with both my Power Cab & Power Pro system but just wanted to try both Rocrail & iTrain to see what they were like. I am trying to get Rocrail to work with my Nce Power cab through the Nce usb adaptor but I'm having trouble with the settings in Rocrail. I put a question on the Rocrail forum but there doesn't seem too many on there. My NCE systems are working well & I've invested too much over the years to scrap it. Regards. Tony.
