  1. Ah, that seasonal timewarp where you have no idea what day of the week it is...

Try working from home full time with a wife who works in two jobs and a sibling who can work any day of the week.  None us of have any natural body clock any longer that can tell us what day of the week it is without looking at a phone.

Although I can't comment about anyone else, I'm struggling to remember the last time I managed to turn in before 3 AM .

I wish I could remain awake that late, my body now demands bedtime around 11pm, used to be a real night bird but no longer.  Evenings are now - eat tea, watch a bit of Youtube followed by Netflix on the TV then just before bed it it back to Youtube to watch the penguins being fed at Kansas City Zoo, then zzzz time.

  2. Hi Fran, please remind me... when do we announce that the Haulmark coach wasn't really an April Fool's joke?

  3. Five years ago today, we announced to the Irish market that we would be producing a two-axle ballast hopper. Things rapidly got out of hand...

Just think. You can now go home and have all weekend to relax & think about: Conflat "L's".   :swoon:

I'd rather spend the weekend sketching layout ideas based on Wirksworth or Cambois while sipping on some Redbreast 12... :)

    3. Porcy Mane

      Porcy Mane

Wirksworth. Now there's a layout that'll be needing a shed load of Conflat L's. Smashing idea! For me, long gone is the time of spending idling away all weekends dreaming about redbreasts but next model railway show I'll see how it compares to a good Tormore.

  6. Happy New Year one and all. May 2019 be peaceful and prosperous for you all. I know it’s going to be a busy and interesting year work-wise... :)

I'd also wondered how many of the people involved with this series are also members here.

Obviously, I'm mainly referring to the volunteers - but I'd be surprised if something like this were to be produced without at least some of the other people involved also being interested in (or at least sympathetic to) the hobby.

Now for the real question - what are they going to do to follow this series?

I doubt if anyone here would be in a position to answer.

  21. Back home in Dublin after a thoroughly enjoyable weekend at Warley. It was nice to meet some familiar faces and many friendly new ones. Looking forward to next year already...
