  4. Wrote from Markin-users forum 'I have noticed lots of alarming posts in US train forums about the Chinese factory closing. It seems to be affecting Bachman, Atlas, Bowser, Intermountain, Atlas, Fox Valley Models, Tangent. If it is only one factory, I find it interesting to see how one factory is making stuff for so many brands. I have seen it said that a company called Kader controls them all. The Japanese manufacturer Shinohara closed in April.' Any news word from Bachmann Branchlines?
  5. i check Argos website and Hornby Tornado express train set - Now Two pullmans in set at same price.
  6. I just saw this on a German forum: The ‘Modelleisenbahn Gruppe’ is going to relocate their production from Gloggnitz-Austria to Slovakia. This will lead to a reduction of 52 of the 107 employees by the end of 2018. And also; Fleischmann H0 will no longer be available from 2019. I think this is really sad. Fleischmann was one of the major brands when I was a kid. 11. Hornby has rejected a takeover offer from its largest shareholder, Phoenix Asset Management - BBC. Phoenix launched a mandatory bid for Hornby last month, after it bought a stake from another investor that gave it a 55% holding in the company. The offer, of 32.375p per share, values Hornby - which also owns the Scalextric and Airfix brands - at £27.4m. However, Hornby's directors said they believed the offer "does not reflect an adequate premium for control and significantly undervalues Hornby and its prospects".
  12. Hattons at £180 each??? £159.50 each from Rails. All 2017 Set and locos 20% off RRP.
  13. I look at Hornby site 'the final Day' Steam price £199.99 - is it too expensive?
