  1. I was just about to say the same thing. A babby warship would be good. However, there's not really a similar bodyshell in wide preservation or any at all, unless there are 29s. So that's those hopes knackered.
  2. Sorry to divert the thread and i mean to take up minimal space, but what's an MPV's tops registration? 9*****?
  3. Ah, the clag that collects in the exhaust filters of a 37 over a year or so. what better to be covered in? Oh yes. most things.

  4. yes. a full set at a festival was a pleasant surprise.
  5. well, nonetoolong ago, went to cropredy folk festival, at which i bought an album by leatherat and one by bellowhead. commendable songs are probly 'whisky is the life of man' by the latter, and 'i like a smoke' by the former. amongst a good many others. quo were good live.
  6. I really can't see the point in this. It would be useful if it were electrified, but surely light rail would be better. Longer vehicles, no need for them to be purpose built, smaller lanes, the only real disadvantage is stopping times.
  7. To anyone interested, unless it's very recently sold, there was one of those godawful centre cabs in the erlestoke manor fund coach at bewdley. It made my eyes bleed.
  8. How about designing your own things completely? I, for one, have been inventing stock from the black country railway industries workshop, so that we're able to run the railways upon declaration of our independence. such as the bcri type one 2-6-0 and the sixty foot standard push pull coach. Why bnother with what ifs? just design something entirely your own!
  9. You and Me and The Devil makes three- Marylin Manson, and anyone else which sung a similarly titled song.
  10. The duette's a fantastic controller. you can make almost any gearing a realistic speed with it. That aside, It's coming on well. I'd lose patience by this point.
  11. that desiro above makes me think that, should renationalisation ever occur, blue and grey doesn't look too bad on modern things. Howsabout some 150s or 323s. What if the 139 was ever bought by another company?
  12. Spotted another with hoppers on the camp hill line again today. What's this working going to be?
  13. I think I may have seen one on the camp hill line on the twenty second of january. is this at all likely? it definitely wasn't a sixty six. the front slanted.
  14. Bought myself a Dapol slanty 45xx today. It seems ok, a bit jolty and very high gearing. the lubricant pump on it's managed to come out aswell. I've had it pulling a dummy coach from a 150 around, and it works well when pushing, well on one side of the loop when pulling, but not the other, and driving it backwards over a right hand point but not a left hand one will derail the back bogie when you've got it set to turn. what the devil's going on here? The motor seem ok, gears probably just need a drop of oil.

    gah!

Due to the time i've spent doing nothing here, i've changed my mind. It will be blowers green station in 1964, just before it closed, becaause that way i get to use the interesting diesels, light freight and anyway, the station has everything i wanted in a layout. I've translated it into a trackplan, and it looks ok. but It would help if anyone had a picture of the whole station rather than just the one of the junction or the one of the far ends of the platforms. Also, were there three platforms?
  16. what's it bought under? And I meant this one, if it's not the same.
