Shown here is the bracing, including the 44mm X 44mm that goes down the length of the board on both sides. This has proved the most obstructive. You can also just see the join in the board which is the main reason for all the structure underneath. Although the total size is 8 X 4, this is made four 4 X 2 sheets. I cannot get the 8 X 4 in the car. Again just to emphasise the point. You can also see the bus and PM1's in these photo's but more of those later. Last photo is of the legs As this whole exercise is about learning, next layout will be constructed with light weight in mind. Using 6mm ply with 44X12mm bracing. It is also more likely to be a permanent affair rather than the original plans for this. Very annoyed about the missing pixel that has only appeared since the camera went in for repairs. as its only one pixel, it is within tolerances. This does not stop it being a right PITA. Getting back into the hobby? Not really, my first attempts as a spotty teen were pretty rubbish, this is more of a diversion from the daily grind. Its also a trial to see what I can and cannot do. With SWMBO??™s permission of course. Ps this has totally dominated the spare room to the point that it is unusable, I love my wife. The baseboard is over engineered at 8 X 4 X 12mm chipboard, strengthened and supported to the extent that the original plan of suspending this from the ceiling is redundant due to the weight.
