    The clip on youtube gives you a good look at part of the roof. John

Michael going by the book British Rail Fleet Survey I quote a pictur on page 61 " Class AL5 no E3067, in it's original 'electric blue' livery with white cab roof, pale fawn grey cab window surrounds" So I think the colour is right. I am not sure about the Blue, but as I never see one of these in the flesh so to speak I can't say if it is right or wrong. Still a great model. John

  5. Just recieved my AL5, running it in now. Very smooth. Lights are a bit bright but will sort that out later. Well done Bachmann it was worth the wait. Next.................. John. After thought.. How comes Bachmann got it so right with their AL5 but Heljan got it wrong with the class 86?
  6. Just had an e-mail from Hattons my AL5 is on it way John
  7. They did say on or after the 28th May a month ago, so we will see. John

I had the same email from Hattons as well as one that said it was due to arrive on Wednesday 26th June, I also got in touch with Bachmann who replied that the AL5 would be sent out this week, so lets hope they are right. I can't take the suspense at my age Also I Came across this published in 1983, can't believe I have had this for 29 years. (Hope it's alright to put a picture of this on here!) John

  10. Still no sign of the other 2 AL5's but I phoned a well known box shifter and they hope (!) they may be in by the weekend. We will see. ( Yes I know I'm getting impatient) John
  11. Found this one as well Bristol on a rainy day (Nothing new there then!) Late 80's. Can't remember the name of the road, but I would park up there for my lunch. Happy days. John

  14. Just need the Mk 1s now... I have a AL5 on order but I can't find any Maroon Midland region MK 1 coaches to go with it So looks like it will be another renumbering job. John

  16. Going by Bachmann web site AL5 has been put back to May/June from March/April
  17. AL5 now on Bachmann web site as due in the next 60 days John
  18. Bachmann web site now saying March/April for AL5 Electric Blue and April/May for BR Blue. John
  19. I don't know if anybody else has sen this but if you go to MLV Pre-Production Shots topic on post 78 there is a link to facebook showing a picture of the AL5. Looks good to me. John
  20. I saw these in 1986 on an industrial estate at Calne, Wiltshire. John
  21. I have ordered a AL5, now to get some Maroon coaches to go with it.
  22. Yes it looks a little dark to me, perhaps it's because it is a decorated sample. Still very nice though. John
  23. I have not changed the title, if I had made a mistake I would have said so. Perhaps Mod 4 can tell us if he changed it.
