It all started in the early 1970s when my grandfather took me to see 9F Black Prince inside Gloucester Horton Road shed. Spent far too much of my youth around Gloucester station and Horton Road crossing as well as chasing around the country. By 1986, I'd started as a volunteeer on the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Rly. Progressed as a fireman and a driver until 2006, when my wife and I semi retired to go sailing 4-6 months per year and short term contract the remaining months of the year.

Modelling wise, since 1992, I've been associated with the 4mm finescale gang of the Leamington and Warwick Model Railway Society and their layouts - Walford Town & Clarendon. Now moved onto 7mm modelling the early 1980s scene and also industrial railways both standard gauge and narrow gauge.

Currently, I exhibit 'The End of the Line' a 7mm layout originally built by Giles Favell and 'St Oswalds' a shunting puzzle cameo style layout in O16.5.
