  1. Inspirational stuff there Bodgit, plenty to think about, thanks mate..
  2. Great minds think alike lan, l like the idea of an old steam shed, well done .
  3. hello craig, l was never happy with the points l had built, just didn't file enough away on the point blades and they needed lots of adjustments, plus l never motorised them causing all sorts of trouble, so l have loads of peco track to use this time..
  4. l take your point john, l have built plenty of depot layouts in the past, but never in O gauge, so l am doodling all possible options as to a track plan, but no more extending fiddle yards...
  5. Hello Martin, l lost the mojo long before Bodgit started his sell off, the good thing is l am still modelling in O gauge, just need to get mind on something l enjoy, thats why l think a depot of sorts is the answer?..
  6. Forgot that one Paul, guess l will have to add a third rail in the depot ?
  7. Hi John, l know what you mean about wagons as l have followed your wagon threads many a time, the big problem with O gauge is many of us just dont have the room we would like and can never make the layout we dream of, l bought two coaches thinking it would be ok, (Wrong) with a class 37 you are looking at nearly 5' long and on a scenic layout of 10' it looked silly, so l think l will be modelling a small diesel depot from now on...l also have a 56 and 66 on order (WHY) l ask myself Hahahaha...
  8. Having lost a lot of enthusiasm latley on 'Moss Lane' l have decided to move it on to someone who has shown a lot of interest in it lately as it is without the buildings, so after a bit of haggling l have sold 'Moss Lane', so whats next ? maybe a small diesel depot were no wagons and coaches are involved ?...
  9. Also its the finace as well, O gauge stock is very expensive, but l noticed that OO stock is getter dearer by the day, really something to think about...
  10. Hi Martin, Thanks for the thumbs up, l dont know where l saw it done but l thought then it was a great idea, as you only see one side of the loco and it saves you hundreds of pounds too, Hahahaha take care buddy...
  11. Split Personalities at 'Moss Lane' in the form of 37285 in Coal sector, and 37187 in distribution on the other side, sounds crazy but l havent got £700 plus for another O gauge sound 37, and as you only see the one side of the loco l thought. not my idea but l thought it would suit my needs, just have to adjust the weathering to the Coal sector loco...
  12. Padstow's chassis is starting to take shape...used 12ba bolts on the rear axle and 10ba on the other two, as l dont want the nuts to fowl the front axle with the valve gear...
  13. Hi Al, Great to meet up with you at Ellis Clarks show on Saturday, nice to see the turbots you have bashed /weathered up (gave me an idea), also thanks for the nameplate guys website, l have ordered some already, thanks again buddy....
  14. Thanks Andy, As l have built three Bulleids on commission latley l thought l would build one for myself, the ACE finished at Padstow from Waterloo and 34008 has been a favourite loco of mine...
  15. Well the chassis has gone together this morning, now need to put the wheels on next...
  16. Hi Andy, Stubby is spot on you did say 'Bench Road' at the start of the video, also you made me realise why l have never finished a layouy ? (Fifteen miles of wire) Hahaha
  17. l need some parts for the T9 project, and paint for the PLVs, so l thought l would make a start on my David Andrews Bullied W/C No 34008 'Padstow' the frames are going together nicely..
  18. Thats a bit too bright for me, l am going for a darker sage green l think.
  19. Love the fiddle yard Bodge, you should hold some stock in there..
  20. Very nice job Ade, what livery will you choose ?..
  21. Hi Andy, Well l have been mucking about with white filler for the mortar on the brick work, as suggested by lan 47606odin (who has posted a very helpful video) and l am very pleased with the results.
