  1. New items to be released for sale tomorrow at Taunton Railex and online. 4mm fuel shelter kit, complete with fuel rigs and fire extinguishers.
  2. Will be releasing these at Taunton show. 7mm and 4mm fuel rigs, supplied unpainted.
  3. Many thanks Chris. I would normally apply a couple of thin coats of acrylic paint to build up the colour depth.
  4. The 08 looks good Matt, dirty and faded blue would look good.
  5. Although has been a bit quiet recently here, I am working on some new products to be released at the RailEX Taunton show Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October.
  6. I met Iain a couple of times at various shows, mainly RailWells, but also when visiting Titfield Thunderbolt Bookshop in Bath. I have always enjoyed reading his articles in Model Railway Journal and several of his books. His writing style very easy to read and understand, with a sense of humour. Will be sadly missed, RIP Iain
  7. Well that is a surprise. Ordered one of the departmental wagons, but very tempted by a pack of three. Can EM wheel sets be dropped in?
  8. Look very good Nick, tempted myself to get one. Don't hold your breath but I've bought a point (last weekend at Stafford) and have a rough plan in my head!
  9. Myself and Ray had a great weekend with Hounslow Sidings. Due to me leaving late from work and bad traffic on the motorway network on Friday, we decided to set up on Saturday. In truth wanted to get in the bar! Setting up Saturday very easy. Very good selection of layouts and traders. Both of us spending only a small amount at said traders. Was great to have so much space around the halls and good news for the step count on my smart watch! Very good exhibitor lunches as well. Not sure if there was much benefit using the balcony for layouts / demos as well as the smaller area at the end. Perhaps using the balcony rather than the end space might have been better. Certainly plenty of space to expand as and when finances and visitor numbers allow. My only concern perhaps, that can become too large and then miss more of the layouts / traders, particularly for those who only have a few hours to spend, rather being able to be there most of the day. As usual a very friendly and enjoyable weekend.

  11. Hi Nick Excellent work all round. Been seeing photos on Facebook, but kept missing your thread. So much better to view on here though! The weathering on the 08's is superb, as well as the wagons. The work on the 03 looks great as well, now I wonder where you got those tanks..... Been thinking about a small O gauge shunting layout myself and really should get on with something. Spending too much time 3D printing and really need a small layout to shunt a few wagons.
  12. A new product added to the range to the sales page today - 4mm / 00 Southern Railway station seats. Busy working in the background one an exciting project which hoping to be able to be ready in the next few weeks.
  13. Yes, but I was thinking about projects that they have not announced.
  14. I was only thinking about diesel locos as something that many others have mentioned and not a steam modeller so not real idea what is missing or due for updating to modern standards in the normal RTR market. I do also wonder whether we will see any further wagons, eg 16t mineral as fit in well with the existing range.
  15. I'm reckon that an announcement will be due soon on the next model (s) due to be released. Obviously AS will be very busy with products arriving before the end of the year, which will keep them busy, but apart from the balance of the class 37's and class 31 due early 2023, the AS warehouse will be very quiet after that! Clearly not going to be the case, so plenty of new products to be announced for delivery Q2 2023 onwards. Working into that will clearly be a second run of Deltics and more class 37 (Q3 / Q4 2023 ?). So, are we waiting for a class 08/09 or 50 or something else?
  16. Review in September edition of Railway Modeller.
  17. The 7mm scale version is now ready to purchase along with option of concrete block supports. Will also be doing the concrete blocks for the 4mm version.
  18. Many thanks Stu for posting the photos. I have been working on both a 7mm scale and 2mm scale version, which hopefully should be ready to order by the end of the week. 7mm scale version first - need to finish the painting / weathering
  19. The 7mm scale versions of the LSWR luggage barrow and parcels barrows are now available to order at £5 each.
  20. All these Denpart crates etc now added to my Sumup page, along with an oil / fuel tank.
  21. Reading at the various wish lists for Deltic variants, looks like AS will need to run a third batch! Very pleased my Deltic and would certainly want a second from the next batch.
  22. Yes, I would like to, but need to find sufficient information to enable drawings to be done.
  23. I will be adding two packs of 4mm / 00 Denparts to my sales page soon. First are the part boxes, two larger and one small. Second are the engine / spares support frames. All supplied unpainted.
