  1. Stephen, As a thought, it might be worth dropping a message to COLINW of this parish as he normally brings a deputation down from the Tonbridge club and may be able to help out on the transport front. Kev
  2. Stephen, There is always the Uckfield MRC show in October ( http://www.uckfieldmrc.co.uk/exhib17nf.html ). A bit of a shameless plug I'm afraid seeing as I'm a member of the club Kev
  3. There is also HMS Landrail, which operated Airships and Maritime Patrol Aircraft , see - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RNAS_Machrihanish_(HMS_Landrail) Kev
  4. Jeremy, I've made bold and large the bit I'm referring to, I will be at the Horsham show on 6th May with UMRC layout "Oakley" and will be more than happy to discuss and advise you on this and other security matters from a professional stand-point (no charge for advice). Kev
  5. Re:- C1383 This pic shows that my 7&1/4 Class 12 15243 (see avatar) is stunning clean by comparison
  6. Linny, you could try messaging Gary (Blue Lightning) of this forum, he has started producing various transfers Kev
  7. The only response suitable to that saucy move is an overground lurch to DENMARK HILL
  8. Just my 2p worth, I always enjoy going to ally pally show, it's a chance for me to catch up with friends who are spread around the country and see a good mix of layouts (from the work-in-progress to the sublimely finished top drawer, all of which have their place in the hobby). The sheer size of Essex Beltlines blew me away and my first thought on seeing the fiddle yard was that my bank balance would have a major coronary trying to fill a FY of a similar size. I hope that when I/we finish building the new UMRC 'N' gauge layout (see link at bottom of my signature) there might be the possibility of an invite. It was also rather nice to have a sociable chat with Mr Y when he was outside having a crafty burn
  9. In light of recent media articles LONDON BRIDGE
  10. Why not do the cladding in light eggshell, to aid with clean photography of locos and other stock?
  11. FFS, can't get onto any site now without an expensive approved card/ticket, whatever happened to common sense and allowing people to be responsible for their own actions without legislating for stupidity (and the bl**ding cards/tickets don't stop the stupid having accidents)

Somebody decided that stupid was the 21st century version of common sense :(

TBH I think it's just a money-spinner for someone in charge, basic bucket-lugger card costs £250 in training fees GRRRR

  12. I'd be worried about a smart kitchen informing the Cardiac Care Team about my addiction to bacon LOL
  13. Just done a quick search online using the parameters you suggested and found exactly what I'm looking for from a couple of suppliers, looks like I'm going to need a few WarWells and WarFlats as well LOL
  14. Thanks for that, time to do some hunting me thinks, hopefully I'll find some in N scale
  15. Are the covered truck and bren carrier in the pics above Airfix kits or from another source? I ask as I need some 'N' scale WW2 vehicles to make up a military transport train for 'Albion Heath'
  16. Will any of your bash's and kit builds be making an appearance on "Framnock Bay" when it is ready to go out on circuit? And when will you be starting the thread on it? :jester:

  18. Just re-reading this and it's suddenly clicked with me as to why you wanted the "garden-office" the size you did hehehehe
  19. You know you're just itching to play with the soldering iron after all the work on "Framnock Bay"
  20. What ever happened to common sense, now I have to have an expensive ticket (that has to be renewed every couple of years) to get onto sites. Looking at some of the 'Richard-Caraniums' on sites it's clear these tickets are just a gov't cash cow, GRRRRRR

  21. In that case when I sort out the storage chests quote I better make sure the wood used is strong enough to protect such a serious investment.
