  1. Good photos of what must have been a great day, even the overall blue (my least favourite livery ever) looks good!
  2. Day 5 of the indoor ballasting, I think I may have got another 4 days of this and then when the weather improves there's the outdoor bit and that's twice as much!!

  3. Ballasting is taking a long time and I don't seem to be able to settle to just one method!!

Matthew.... I had fun with this (not), and I can't imagine how tricky this could be outside! Good luck... but I'm looking forward to seeing the results

  4. Hi, I have some of the O2 etches in 7mm which I bought to make a P1 2-8-2 with some other etches that William Ascough sold me. The etches look quite good, but I have gone with a more beefy JPL models chassis instead. I have heard that you have to know what you are up to to build these kits, but they are reasonable value. I am a fair way through making a K2 from one of the ACE kits and for that I substituted the rolled boiler for some brass tube of the correct dimension, which whilst it made some of its own problems did produce a robust result, so you might consider that if you have a metal supplier near you. I also have a V3 that was made by the building service he supplies and whilst it runs well it does need some fettling before painting. William is very helpful with enquiries so if you have problems with the kit, I am sure that he would help. Good Luck! Matthew
  5. This is what I suggested the Bluebell does with its 9F it would be far kinder to the track going backwards! Good luck with the project I am kitbashing a Bachmann brassworks '0' gauge A3 into a P1 myself, so I might post pics of progress on that too! Matthew

  7. Hi Richard, Thanks for your posting, I shall probably just post new pictures to gallery as I progress with my 7mm layout, I have not worked out how the website works yet so I might try and create a blog. Cheers, Matthew
