  1. This is going to be such a good layout. Trains always look better when the ratio of track is a lost less compared to scenery. Gives a sense of place. cheers, Lukasz

    EBay madness

Considering the wagon is normally priced at around £13-£15 without postage and packaging these decals on them are mighty expensive http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-37-601Z-Lovatt-Spring-Water-VGA-Vans-x-2-NEW-/200646731652?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2eb77a2784#ht_992wt_698 cheers, Lukasz
  3. Don't hold your breath. Funds are very low at the moment so 37698 is top priority, looking forward to your projects more than my own. cheers, Lukasz
  4. Its definitely a project for the summer as I have a Vi trains and Bachmann 37 to do before I can start with the Lima. Nice to be back on here and see you're still about. cheers, Lukasz
  5. Its looking really good Matt. Just spent an enjoyable 15 minutes reading through the thread and have to say it's all very impressive. When funds permit I too will be bashing about a Lima 37 body to become 516 in Loadhaul colours. Also lovely work on that little shunter. cheers, Lukasz
  6. Brandon is my local station. Should've mentioned. And the black estate looks to me my dear mums car there. Can't be sure of course. I imagine countless black mercedes roll through brandon but considering she makes a good few trips through the town a day I would say theres a good chance it is. cheers, Lukasz
  7. Really impressed with work so far on this one. Definately better to see trains in the landscape rather than cramped depot layouts in abundance currently. regards, Lukasz
  8. Any more photos dave? Was looking forward to my local box appearing. cheers, Lukasz
  9. That oca is fantastic! if you ever fancy three more you know where to ask as my attempts at fading them haven't got nearly as well as the dutch liveried counterparts. cheers Lukasz
  10. The progress so far is real strong Wayne! Really enjoyed reading through the thread so far and looking forward to more updates. That 08 is really nicely weathered. regards, Lukasz
  11. You really need 054 I think. If you haven't already got it. The work is so quick and with such great results. Lukasz.
  12. I'd like to correct myself. I don't know how but through a case of serious stupidity I forgot that theres a whole line connecting Bury St Edmunds to Norwich. I just assumed that the loco would work the less busy Breckland line. I don't really know why. My mistake. Well at least thats cleared it up. As mentioned any times would be appreciated. regards, Lukasz
  13. Ahh thank you. It doesn't explain the loco being on the ipswich line but it gives me a lot more scope for catching this service closer to home. Do you have any running times? Cheers, Lukasz

  15. This is some inspiring modelling here. I think it's any modellers dream to model Toton and here it is. Such strong progress as well. Brilliant modelling. The 60's will be right at home. Lukasz
  16. It's funny you should mention it as my signal has been reading as strong but no internet on and off for the past week. I too am with BT. Lukasz

  18. There is a "virtual quarry" actually in Norwich station on the left as you come in but yes there is also Cemex yard on the right as you come in from Ely way. The thing is this is on the Ipswich line. So anything would have to be that way. The train is usually Ews 66 coming through Bury St Edmunds about 4pmish on weekdays. I will try to get a better look when I'm there in the week. Lukasz

Congratulations Dave on a well deserved challenge win! You completely dispelled a few niggles I had that n gauge wasn't as detailed as larger scales. Well done on a amazing layout. Lukasz
  20. I have a question. Why do I sometimes see a class 60 on the Ipswich line coming through Bury on what looks to be gravel wagons but may be coal. The past couple of times I have been too far away to get a number or a good look at the wagons. Both 60's I have seen have been ews liveried ones but I have also seen many Sheds with rmc wagons. any help would be nice? Lukasz
  21. Back to the hobby after a summer away. Feels Good.
