  2. hi guys if you haven't read any of my other blogs ill just give you a quick update I bought a new loco and it arrived a few days ago. only thing is the front to wheels stick up in thee air simple weigh issue then another problem the wheels slip I don't mean a little bit the pistons seems to stop and it just slides along the track any ideas how I can stop this here's a few pictures they may help loco in the box view of the wheels maybe someone can spot the problem that I have missed any help/suggestions would be lovely thanks kieran
  3. Middle name is Sutherland so i went on the hunt for the duchess of Sutherland after losing a few on ebay i won one and the postman delivered it today here's some pictures. box isn't to bad a little ripped here and there. rushing though the busy station only issue I have at this moment is that the front 2 wheels are up in the air, seems to be no weigh at the front or the back am not sure what one is the problem, also the loco's wheels slip :/ not sure at all why only thing i can come up with is that the motor in the tender is to powerful pushing it too hard anyone has any ideas leave a comment thanks slippy wheels she's a beautiful loco anyway, well worth the buy for the small issues at the moment
  4. think ill stick with this take some getting use to and most likely be a lot of messy blogs all over the place but it will do for now till i get use to blogging
  5. so i have finished one side of my loft all the flooring down so my base boards can start to appear on that side while i also move stuff (junk) around and finish the next half of the loft all moving very quick so should start work on that in the next week hopefully depending on work and money but least half of one job is done next on the list of never ending things to do baseboard then drawing up my track plan and sticking with it and then i have to make a decision DC or DCC but ill think about that when i have to cross that bridge
  6. well this is different and confusing am not sure if i like it lol well link below to my forum thread for my layout think ill stick with that and have this for quick updates for small things see what happens Forum thread!

  8. hi Doug thanks for the comment planning and construction has come to a complete stop thanks to the snow and so on i have been unable to get my loft finished. hopefully get some more work done soon thanks kazer

  9. Hi Kazer... hope you're enjoying the planning phase, but don't leave it too long - you just have to plunge in and get started on constuction, which I only did last March, Doug.
