  1. Thanks for your speedy replies Gents. Jwealeans, it was probably your post I saw originally. Nice photos by the way. I've been looking at using "N" gauge screw couplings for the shackles, any thoughts on using them? Fat Controller, thank you for the link. I'm of for a look now.
  2. Hello all, I am in the middle of building a Parkside Con flat A with FM container. I recently read an article on this site suggesting a replacement chassis available for purchase, to enable the clasp brake version to be produced, but for the life of me I can't find it now despite spending the last hour and a half searching for it So if anyone could point me in the right direction, either to the article or the alternative chassis supplier I would be extremely grateful .
  3. AD 47777 was an ex SR 12t van with even planks. Ratio do a kit of both the even and uneven planked vans.
  4. Modelmasters sheet 4670w and 4670y cover later style lettering for warflats, warwells. If you do a google image search for either of the 2 numbers you should find pictures of them. You cannot, however, see them on Modelmasters site for some reason. I am looking to have some made up to cover the 50's to the 80's but the guy who's doing them is rather slow getting back to me. So we'll see how that goes.
  5. Hello, I served with 79 Rly Sqn in the early 70's. I only visited RAF Bruggen on one occasion. I don't remember the year, but I know it was seriously hot, weather wise. Three loco crew members were sent, I was the new boy, to assist the RAF in a base excercise. We spent two nights there in the lap of luxury. We crewed the loco in our shirt sleeves while the poor RAF were in full NBC kit, we were just a little bit smug. lol. I noticed one chap, he was driving an Eager Beaver forklift truck, keep stopping and looking at the engine so I invited him onto the footplate. We had a chat and he asked me if he could have a drive of the loco, A Barclay 275, I think, although it was 40 odd years ago. I told him yes, If I could have a go on his Eager Beaver, he agreed, so we spent a good hour or so rattling up and down one of the sidings, followed by me bouncing all over the road on his FLT.
  6. Hi all, just a little bit more info on availability of suitable wagons for LMR. Cambrian Models cover the 15 and 25 ton SR brake vans. As far as I'm aware you would need to add to brake cylinders to end. I may be wrong, but in my defence I'm just starting research into this subject. Cambrian also do an LSWR 10ton van kit to dia SR D1410. There are also several other vans/open wagons suitable in their range. Genesis Kits cover several subjects, from warflats, warwells and a ramp wagon, all made in pewter. http://www.genesiskits.co.uk/shop/mod-wagon-kits/wk205-moda-wwi-rectank/ As for transfers, I am having some made up to cover the LMR ,BMR and MMR, along with alpha numeric items in yellow, pale yellow and white. If they look ok I will have them priced up and have a few sets printed off.
  7. Hi David, Where did you get your Arduino from ? I've looked at one site but there cheapest one was
