Well done, I've got the calipers, discs and pads to do on madam's VW Touran but it'll save £500 of the £700 quid quote from the garage.

Bet that took some finding, Jenny!

  2. Ordered five injector o rings from the dealership. Went to collect to find they had instead ordered a single injector resealing kit. Methinks the man on the phone was not paying attention.

  6. Just subscribed for a year to Model Rail - the free Bachmann wagon swayed it for me; such a pretty little thing in the picture.

  12. My new job involves taking OB lorries to and from studios and locations. Some very old motors - not seen a Leyland Freighter or Seddon Atkinson on the road in quite some time, much less driven them. Seddons are still as rubbish as I remember them from 20 years ago.

  24. just cleanerd up my found rail chair with a wire drill bit attachment. The chair was made for the LNER in 1927 and now has a coat of red oxide primer on it.

so you now have a fully functional doorstop, just in time for summer. Good work. (hint: a check chair may have two jaws but is awful at holding french doors open)

  25. I found a rail fixing chair in what was once Godley Junction goods yard (now part of Kerry Foods' factory) and brought it home, just because.
