  1. It’s the wiring size we standardised on Black Country Blues but I agree I haven’t got the length here...
  2. I’m thinking of renaming the layout now... ”A bit of a shed”...
  3. Inbound. I’ve never thought of this before, but in terms layout weight, wiring must contribute. This stuff’s quite heavy.
  4. I was just thinking, it’s a shame when something as nice as this is built and most of it is hardly ever seen...
  5. Just look at this for a picture... https://railphotoprints.uk/p683721011/hCF0701B6#hcf0701b6
  6. You must get out more. I dread to think what “something much more complicated (if needed)’ entails...
  7. re-wheeled? If you call pulling out the OO wheels so it balances on the P4 track for the sake of a photograph, then yes... There appears to be enough room for P4 wheels, the outer ones are pin point and the middle set on some sort of sliding arrangement. The model captures the original although not the highest of fidelity models. I suppose I need another one really.
  8. Think I’m going to have to shuffle some sleepers a little. It seems obvious now..
  9. Yes I know - I was hoping for a plethora of buffer jokes, but it came to nothing. Anyway, what’s the answer to the chair question?
  10. Can anyone advise me what chair arrangement I should use for the buffer stops? In places we are up to three rails wide - bolted together...
  11. This morning I’m laying the rail on the other side. I really like the look of this stuff.
  12. And one side all chaired up and stuck down. That’ll do, I’m pleased with the days efforts.
  13. I’ve put the crossing in now on the adjacent point and the sleepers in between.
  14. Nice steady little number.... Thanks to Mark Forrest for loaning me some concrete sleepers (and two bolt chairs)...
  15. Next job, the fueling road. First off a coat of concrete colour paint... As reminder, what we are trying to replicate here are concrete sleepers cast into a plinth.
  16. I like the really thin flangeway the P4 Standards give you - I think that helps to make it look right....
