Actually barry, your 9F inspired me! Tbh they're just plastikard (5mm strip I believe) I'll take a photos of them and show you how I made then, basically just 5mm strip then a rod section cut just wider than the wheel flanges and stuck onto the strip keeping the wheels together. Thanks you anyway

Cheers hon, my friend was really pleased with it. I wouldn't mind a 57xx chassi, I have a 94xx body which I wouldn't mind looking at doing in the near future!

Danke Kelly. I have a new blog to write up as we speak. Alots happened since then.

Im sorry to hear about you health. I had an ex who suffered from fibro and it was painful for both of us. Her to have and me to watch.
Please do get well soon
Good luck with your layouts and keep us updated if you can :-)

Thanks guys. Its reinstilled my faith in this model tbh. Ill have a look at East Kent Models. Hopefully it sbould be completed fully soon. Just trying to think which 9F it could be. So far the winning bet is 92087 but 92011 or 92013 are up there too.
Cheers Richard. Ill give that a go on my other 9F. Ive been messing around quite alot with this engine but I dont feel confident enough playing with the dimentions of this engine just yet but good pointer.
-
Cheers mate. Yeah it originally had a hook but it broke before i added a jackson three link. Ill see how it looks weathered as it seems to have worked on my brake van. Ill see what I can do but yeah hopefully the job will be a little easier now.

Good point Pannier Tank, but as with the coal it's my friends choice I was provided with the tools and the lamps to work with so they were present (my friend wanted a station pilot) I would have been quite happy to put a brass numberplate on though.
Buffalo: Yeah, I was thinknig a new fireman or one who was busy chatting to the station master whilst it was being fillled. However I've taken you point from before on.
but thank you all for the kind comments

Thanks guys, as for the coal, whatever my friend decides to do with it is his business however if it was me, I'd put coal in as well
Hmm good point Buffalo, it's one of the few things I have been uncertain about however generally you only see one side at a time. Plus I saw a pic of the VoR tank engine being filled with water gushing out of both tanks so on that assumption I "watered" them both.
But thanks guys

Wow!

That is nice I hope I can achieve something like that before long!
-
I must admit, I'll believe anything Good work young man!
-
Thanks guys ... this was a dream in itself at one point (around a year ago). Please let us know how yours comes about AJ427
-
Seriously Horsetan, we need to be original in this age of trends.
-
Hmmm good point, I'm going to take another look at it, there's a couple of things I'm not too happy with in it. For instance a friend did the calculations and although my coal capacity is absolutly correct, there should only be three tons to complete the rhyme.

You sure do like your A3s, what were the transfers used for 60100? & 2556 nice models anyway

Yes, that is my achieve and I feel it's relatively pants!
-
I shall watch this with great curiosity... good luck
-
All of these ideas and so little time to do them in! I'm surprised at how many goths I know who are into trains
-
Why thank you kind sir, honestly though creating it wasn't as half as bad as getting the courage to start it.
-
Nice work man
-
Lol oh dear! I'm needing an BR1F tender from Dave either that or go down the Golden Arrow route.
Good luck and I shall look forward to the outcome!
-
You just couldn't get rid of them could you
-
Wow, that is impressive. I have a friend who love tender drive stuff. I'll have to show him your work.
-
Top drawer, I was pestered to make this type at my club... but I'm sticking with 92087. I know the tender probably is but is the chimney a Dave Alexander casting?
Is that a completed 9F I see... no

Thank you Al, btw I am most impressed by your N gauge W1. It's been something I wish I could have done myself
