The MW running boards are especially prone to this bending as there is not much in the way of longitudinal support. What I found was that if there was a bend like the one you had, when the body was attached and the whole lot was screwed to the chassis, it straightened out. If the bend was more severe I replaced the running board. The Avonsides were similar but nowhere near the same extent.

Note the loco on the left has just fly loose shunted the tank wagon. -

This is the right hand side of Pat's layout 'The Rotten Row'. For portability and a hope of finishing it, I'm only using the left hand side. The trackwork is all in place still as shown in photos and I have the missing piece of harbour wall capping to go with it. There is an LED light bar mounted to the inside. The track is wired up. Collection only from Bristol (due to size) or I can drop it off locally. Dimensions: Width 93.5cm Depth 39.5cm Height of front fascia 47cm
